The trail passes pretty ponds in Harwich near Rt. 124. The pond at the intersection of the trail and Rt. 124 has a sign indicating that it is a public lake. At Rt. 124 there is a store which is good for getting food for a lunch. There is a parking area at Rt. 124, but it is small. If it is filled, there is another nearby larger parking area which is not shown on the trail maps. It is on HeadWaters Rd., which is a few hundred feet from the intersection of Rt. 124 and Rt. 6. The parking area is about a half mile from here.
