Nauset Trail

This is a very pretty trail and the smoothest of the Cape Cod Seashore Trails. It is wide and somewhat hilly, but much less hilly and steep than the Province Land Trail. The trail starts at the Salt Pond Visitor Center and goes 1.6 miles to Coast Guard Beach. The entire trail is scenic but by far the best is near the eastern end where it crosses a salt marsh and ends at Coast Guard Beach.
After making the round trip it is easy to bicycle to the Cape Cod Rail Trail which is only a half mile from the Visitor Center. From the Visitor Center cross Rt. 6 onto Salt Pond Rd. (marked as MA Bike Rt. 1) to Locust St. and then left to the rail trail. Next picture.
