Battle Road Path

Leave the Reformatory Branch Trail at Lowell Rd. and go south to the center of Concord. Continue straight past the circle, cross Rt. 62 and follow Lexington St. about two miles to Merriam Corners at the intersection of Old Bedford Rd. and Lexington St. The parking lot for Battle Road is a few hundred feet ahead. The trail has a stone dust surface but it is somewhat soft in sections and is narrower than most trails so be careful in passing. It is somewhat hilly. Since this is a historic park there are many walkers on the trail especially nearr parking areas and the Visitors' Center.
