Reformatory Branch Trail

Monsen Rd. is a paved road into the Great Meadows Wildlife Preseve and this bird watching tower. There is a kiosk here with pamplets about the preserve. The Reformatory Trail crosses this road at the eastern end of the preserve. There is a restroom a few hundred feet from the trail on this road. The Reformatory Branch guide states that bicycling is not allowed on the trails in the preserve. The trail continues to be fairly wide as it goes into Concord but there are a few rough spots here. The trail crosses Monument St. and Lowell Rd.in Concord and then ends shortly after Lowell Rd. To go to the Battle Road Path, go back to Lowell Rd. and go south to the center of Concord.
