Return Trip
We returned south along the towpath in the Metro Park and CVNP to the location of the Frazee House, a short distance south of Alexander Mill, where there is a bridge across the canal. Here we followed Sagamore Rd. to the Bike Hike Trail. Sagamore Rd. has quite a hill for Ohio. We followed the Bike Hike Trail north about a mile to Alexander Rd. where it ended at the bike path connection to Bedford Reservation, another Cleveland Metro Park. The paths are well marked and followed close to Alexander Rd, Durham Rd. Overlook Rd. and Gorge Parkway in Bedford Reservation. We wished we had more time in this park; the scenery is worth it. We returned and went south on the Hike Bike Trail to Holzhauer Rd. and the Bicycle Connector Trail (marked by sign) back to the towpath and the return to Red Lock parking area.
