This picture would be a good shot to show how they arrived at Hogwarts.  The castle is supposed to be on a hill, with a lake below it.  It is easy to imagine how the first years could have sailed beneath the castle when they arrived.

This picture shows how Durham Cathedral would not work as the set. Hogwarts is supposed to be out in the middle of nowhere, but in this view, you can see all sorts of houses.
