I went to Jaipur for just two days in the first week of April, probably not the best time to go there.Anyway, I have always been fascinated by Rajasthan for its rich cultural heritage. Jaipur in particular holds a special importance because the first crush of my life is from Jaipur!!
Try these when you are in Jaipur:
1)Amber fort, I found the route to the fort more interesting than the actual fort.The fort has a huge water tank and a huge gun.
2)City Palace fort has lots of ammunitions of Sawai Man Singh's age along with his clothes and things that I am not too impressed with.
3)Jantar Mantar is close to City Palace fort.An ancient astronomical laboratory.
4)Chokas Dhani is a kind of small picnic spot where you pay an entrance fee and then explore different faces of Rajasthan at a small scale.Also, dont forget to eat the lavish Rajasthani food!
5)Buy some Rajasthani Nagara Jutis and Bandhej Sarees as a souvenir.
6)Khasa Kothi is a govt guest house very close to Railway station. Its a cool place to stay while in Jaipur.
