Shri R.K. Jain
(15th October 1944 - ............)

How can we remember you, when you are always with us? You are still with us, we see you in our dreams. We know that you will guide us till our last minute.

A fighter, a leader, a motivator and above all, a great human being
Shri R.K. Jain was born in a village located close to Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh. He always wanted to do engineering. He was selected at India's most prestigious institute "Birla Institute of Technology, Ranchi". Since his family did not have enough financial resources to fund his education, he studied on loan. Despite being a very reputed engineering colleges, he was not so fortunate enough to find a campus placement. However, he did not lose hope. He came to Delhi to find a job. His family did not have sufficient money to support even his basic needs, so he decided to take on any job for the time being. He opted to work as a foreman with Delhi Electric Supply Undertaking (DESU) as a foreman despite being an engineer. From this, you can judge his modesty. He repaid back all the loan money slowly and gradually. After some time, he was promoted to the post of Inspector in DESU. His ultimate moment of glory came when he was promoted to the post of Assistant Engineer in DESU. At that time, he was a very happy person. After some time, he was transferred to Enforcement Department of DESU. There, he conducted many raids bringing lot of money to DESU. Unfortunately, his happy days were not long-lasting. From the enforcement department, he was posted to Operation and Maintenance Department, that too in Bawana, a lonely place 40 kms from his house. Still then he did not lose hope and maintained very cordial relations with his colleagues. He was very fond of cars and always dreamt of buying a car. Ultimately, he bought a Maruti car in 1999. On March 11, 2002, as he was going to his office, his car felt into a canal and he was drowned. He was declared dead on being brought to a hospital. He died without taking a single medicine. People pray a lot to get death without suffering much. However, it is only the chosen few who get this honour.

On this day, the world lost a great saint!!!
