About Translation :
Does anybody want to go to hell? Not even a single person however sinful he may be would like to reside there. I was discussing this thing with a devotee sometime ago and two interesting things, which are quite common in nature, came out in the talk. First thing : Nobody wants to go to hell, everybody wants to go to heaven, but until a person dies he cant go to heaven even and then there is the problem that nobody wants to die even!! A second thing is all people want the God to listen to them, but very few people listen to what God says. Is there anybody in the world who wants to suffer? Virtually nobody wants any unpleasant circumstance. We all know that if we do sin then we will get pain, but then also very few people can stop themselves from doing sin. There is something which forces humans to do sinful acts. Although some people won't agree with this but an honest look at one's life can easily prove this thing. Can anybody say with surety that he/she has not done any sin in all life? If we think that at some time we committed a sin, then how come we could not stop ourselves from doing that, knowing well that it is sin which we are going to commit! There are latent desires in our conscious which make us do one thing or the other. Most of the things we do are as per our daily work routines but the major works, the direction which our life takes, the ultimate status which we acquire in our life depends upon the state of our conscious. How can you do a work for a longer period if you don't want to do it? Of course sometimes we do something against our wishes also but we always look forward to get rid of what we don't want to do. Why we do something against our wishes depends on the circumstances in our life and also on our mindset at a particular point of time. There are circumstances when we have to deal with an unpleasant person with a smile (while in other circumstances we won't even like to even kick the same persons!!). In the same way we sometimes commit sin forced by the circumstances. Secondly we also do sin by choice. We may think that something is beneficial for us and we do accordingly. At a later stage we come to know that actually that thing was not beneficial, only our desires made us feel that thing as beneficial. Such type of acts may fall in two categories: one that hurt and second that don't hurt. Some of the acts forced by the desires can hurt oneself or the other and there are such acts also which do not hurt anybody. Out of these the acts which hurt can be considered as sins. Sins can be committed either knowingly or unknowingly. Sometimes we do a bad thing without knowing about it and believe me most of the times even while doing a sin we consider that it is not a sin. We do not want to give ourselves this impression that we can ever commit a sin. Mostly we try to impress ourselves with the idea that we are saints in flowing robes and we can never be wrong. But time teaches all and at one time or the other we feel that we could have done something better. Our nature makes us do right or wrong things. Our nature is determined by the things which we do and about which we think. After a constant thinking about something that thing gains a place in our conscious. If we think about bad then surely our conscious will have bad effects and this will lead to bad habits and bad acts. So the sin starts from what you do and what you think. Anybody is not right or wrong in himself; from bodily aspect all humans are same. We all have received same kind of body with similar characteristics. But from the point of view of nature everybody is different from the other. For good acts we should have good nature and good thoughts. God is shelter of all acts and all thoughts. Whatever good we get is by the grace of God. We do various things to please God, we go to temples, do pilgrimages, observe fasts, perform rituals and such other things. Do we want to please God only to get our demands fulfilled? I think we all have this purpose and this is justified also. We all have our requirements and its good thing if we try to meet them by worshiping God. God is the basis of whatever animate or inanimate is there. What is good for us He knows it better than us. Many times in pain or agony we complain 'Why me God?' but because it had to be 'me', that's why 'me.' Things go against our wishes and we think that God is not listening to us. But God has always a purpose in everything. Many times God listens us and also tells us a lot of things, but we refuse to listen to him. God has a very peculiar way of telling, that's why we face difficulty in listening to Him. Whatever God wants to tell us He tells it by motivating our mind, ideas and intellect. When we understand his gesture and act accordingly we find that actually God listens us and it is only then that we actually listen to what God says. After a long communion with God we can go to Heaven and even better we can merge in God.
