Here are some long awaited (for me anyway) new pieces of art from the past couple years. Click on each of them for a larger picture. (I'm still working on this) Hopefully there will be more soon, perhaps even illustrations~ ~Back to the Gallery~ ~Illustrations~

The Garden Door
As of yet, this is untitled
A Dryad This here to the left is a willow dryad inspired by a friend of mine. It is in a different style from a lot of the work here, but I like it very much. Toscana>> This is a painting of a street in Tuscany that I did for my grandparents from a postcard they sent me. I am very pleased with this one.
This piece to the right is an etching that was done on a type of shelf fungus. This is done by lightly scratching the underside of the fungus with a sharp stick (or any other sharp implement). While I don't completely understand it, I believe that when the spores are removed, the darker colour is exposed. Once the "drawing" is done, it is left to dry for up to two or three days, depending on the size of the fungus, and the humidity. If the piece is rather small, it may only need to be left overnight. It is permanent, and needs no fixative. Click on the picture for a larger view!
