Nassau The "Straw Market" is an experience all by itself. There is no way to explain it. It has to be experienced! "Hair Braider's Square" (self explainatory, right?) Hungry? Go to the 'Drop Off" you can get authentic Bahamian food, or an awesome Shepherd's Pie, and Cafe Paradiso is great for gourmet coffees & teas. If you are looking for a night-time party place check out the "Zoo" or the "Bahama Boom".
Salt Cay Island If you are planning to visit the Bahamas, then a trip to the out island of Salt Cay is a must! Popularly known as Gilligan's Island, Salt Cay looks like you expect the Bahamas to look. You can wade with Dolphins or snorkle with Stingrays (this is kinda creey 'cuz they are enormous, but it's really cool), or just kick back in a hammock and relax.
Paradise Island The main attraction on Paradise Island is the Atlantis Resort. Not only is the an incredible hotel, but there are underwater viewing tunnels, a saltwater habitat with hundreds of species of tropical fish, predator lagoons, beaches & waterfalls. It's like an underwater theme park within a hotel.
Port Lucaya This is such a fun place with shops and restaurants and bars. This is where my cousin Nichol & I had our parasailing accident and it is also where I met OJ Simpson (yuck) and Sylvester Stalone (Oh my!).
Freeport Located on Grand Bahama Island Freeport is basically a cruise port and nothing else. However, it is only a 10 minute cab ride from Port Lucaya, and that makes it okay.
