Mustang Mock Awards

The Mustang Mock Awards are a long standing tradition dating back to last year.  "The Mustang," as it is often called, is the highest honor given to South High students and coaches.  It is presented to those who have displayed excellence in a given area.  The awards are chosen by a special pannel of judges who have spent literally minutes pondering these difficult decisions.  This year's Mustang Mock Awards were given out at the Downers Grove South Mustang Bowling Awards Dinner.  Congratulations to all the winners.

At the end of the year there are always numerous people to thank.  The parents, team members, coaches, and everyone else involved with the team have made this an unbelievable last year for me.  My thanks and love to all of you for everything you have given me.  Parents, thank you for being there to support us at all our meets and invitationals.  You mean the world to all of us, thank you!  Megan Ryan, thanks for being not only a great friend but a great co-captain as well.  Anything I asked, it was done, you are amazing.  John Ryan, you made a great addition to our coaching staff.  We are lucky to have you working with us all...thanks for the Diet Cokes!  Ed Butcher, in addition to being a terrific dad, you made an unbelievable coach for the last four years.  You are the reason I got this opportunity as well as one of the reasons we all improved so much over the year. Hey Dad, this could be the best day of my life, I been dreamin' day and night of being like you...   Coach Brasen, thanks for everything!  We appriciate all the time you put into running this team.  Thanks for being so good to me all these years.  I appriciate all of your support at sectionals, state, and throughout the season.  I'm happy you are finally satisfied with the TP job!  The team, you all gave me so many gifts this year.  I will never forget what a wonderful time we had this season.  Thank you, thank you, thank you.  All the best next year, I will miss you all!
