Daughters of William Terry and Charlotte Clark
Sarah Terry, oldest daughter of William and Charlotte (Clark)
Terry, was born about 1839 in England. She is found with the
family in ship's passenger list, 1848-49 arriving in America. She is
listed as age 10 in the Milwaukee WI census of 1850, "in school".
In 1860 census of Macon County IL, she is shown to be 21 years of
age. We have not found a marriage record, or further mention of
her in census or in family letters. As the rest of the family did not
leave Illinois until around 1870, I believe she probably married in
Illinois.
Charlotte N. "Lottie" Terry, daughter of William and Charlotte
(Clark) Terry, was born about 1844 in England. She is found with
the family in ship's passenger list, 1848 - 49 arriving in America.
She is listed as age 6 in the Milwaukee WI census of 1850, attend-
ing school. In the 1860 census of Macon County, IL, she is shown
to be age 14 . We have not found a marriage record, or further
mention of her in census or in family letters.
