There is no census of 1890, but we are searching for William Terry in 1900 Census. He would be about 34, and may possibly live in Kansas, Missouri, or Illinois at that time. |
| Charlotte Mary Terry - b. 1868, Illinois She is found with family in Illinois, 1870, age 2, and in Atchison, Kansas, 1880, at age 12. Charlotte , sometimes listed as Mary or Lotta, married in 1891 to John Jay Johnson. One son, Joseph Terry Johnson, was born Feb. 1893 in Kansas. Soon afterward, the Johnsons moved to St. Joseph, MO, where son, W. Harvey Johnson, was born in March, 1895. John Jay Johnson was a bookkeeper, salesman, and later manager for an ice company. In later years he was shown as manager of a coal company. |

As an adult, she is listed in census with her family from 1900 through 1920. She never married; her occupation is a stenographer at a law office. Since she is not listed in 1930 census, it is assumed that she died between 1920 and 30. |
| Edith Terry, b. 1879, Kansas She is found in Atchison, Kansas, census with family 1880, age one year, and as an adult, from 1900 through 1930. She never married. In 1930, she is listed as age 51, secretary at the YMCA. The date of her death is not yet known. |
| Charles W. Terry, jr. b. 1882, Kansas Charles is found in 1900 census with the family in Atchison, Kansas, at age 17, single, listed as an apprentice in hardware store. I believe that the following records are also this Charles W. Terry, although there are a few discrepancies in date. Around 1909, a Charles Terry, hardware salesman, is married to Blanche Simmons, living in St. Joseph, MO. We find this family in 1920 and 1930, where Charles is traveling salesman of hardware and later a salesman of welding materials. He and Blanche have a son, George S., [Simmons] , born about 1915.
