MGB's music videos.
Alabama Motel Room
Holly MacNarland plays the woman in the video.
The alleys may have been alleys in Gastown.
Symbolistic White Walls
Filmed in Toronto.
The skater kid isn't Serial Joe's singer. He was in Our Lady Peace's "Superman's Dead" video though.
Everything is Automatic
In and around Vancouver.
There is one typo in one of the billboard texts: "Distastre" instead of "disaster."
Dave gives the middle finger for a split second in the beginning.
Indestructable
The Chinese words basically say "indestructable."
The credit card is called "A&M Express."
The tombstone at the end says, "1971-1998; Welcome to the Monkey House."
Matt despises this video.
Apparitions
The exterior shot of the building is a building by the Vancouver Central Library at Library Square in downtown. The actual building is curved but they managed to get it at an angle so it looks rectangular.
The interior shots were filmed at The Toronto Dominion Tower in downtown Vancouver. In the beginning, you can just see the blurred lights of Pacific Centre Shopping Mall outside the doors.
Apparently the original concept was to be a bank robbery in Mexico.
Rico
This video was done as a continuation from Apparitions so the distraught woman is the hooker from before.
MGB.Com's webmaster, Lenny, plays the doorboy.
This was filmed at the Drink Cabaret in downtown. The street right in front of the club is a one-way street and Matt was driving the wrong way.
Hello Time Bomb
A call for extras was held for this at The Rage nightclub. The devil was played by the now-defunct band DSK's lead singer Blair Dobson (who likes "Dexter's Laboratory").
The Radio Shack that was used is located just outside of downtown on West Boulevard.
This video was supposed to mock rap videos.
Load Me Up
This was filmed at Saint George's Private School (the highschool Dave went to).
Done in February, it was freezing cold being wet and outside on the field.
The video is about a stalker that Matt had a while ago.
Strange Days
This was filmed at the Chateau Granville/Best Western and along Granville Street in downtown.
The pigeon scene was done in Stanley Park.
The homeless girl was an actual homeless girl hired for the role.
The blonde woman near the end who speaks to the brunette is the same actress as the blonde woman with glasses in "Apparitions."
The Future is X-Rated
Matt's scenes were filmed in Hawaii obviously. He, William Morrisson, and two strippers grabbed two digital cameras and just zipped on over.
The phone number actually does work. 1-888-999-8934.
In my opinion, Ian mouths the words "He can go fuck himself" after saying "Read my lips" on the phone. He then tosses the phone into the recycling box for some reason.
