I was a member of the DND motorcycle club, the Defenders, for 14 years. Things changed and some people didn't, so now I just ride with friends. To see their last true National Charter click here.
A group ride on Waverley Road / NS Highway #2. One of Canada's best motorcycle routes.
<  The look is borrowed and the attitude is fake.
How bad-ass can you get in a Tim Horton's?
This was on a group ride, returning to Halifax from Annapolis Royal.  We had just been to Bainton's Leathers where I bought a new jacket.
My old brown leathers weare officially retired. I grabbed Wink's helmet for the photo.
A previous owner replaced my saddle cover with red velvet.
When my wife saw it she laughed and called it an Elvis seat.
Our friends called it the Elvis Bike until I gota new seat in 2004.
My sister, a teenager in the '50s, loved Marlon Brando.
When I was born guess what name my sister picked.
Yup... Marlon is my first name, but I rarely use it.
I guess fate demanded that I ride motorcycles, eh!

His 1953 movie, "The Wild One", set a biker image that we may never live down.  It was a Hollywood spin on a media exageration of a fight in Hollister CA.  Witnesses denied that the bikers were involved but their presence added to the news story.  The photo of a drunk on a bike was proven to be an off duty sheriff, posing for the reporter.  Then Hollywood got involved and spread fear across the continent.

Leather is my protective skin but many people still fear the bad boy image it sends.  Maybe with another 50 years the image will die out.
For the lawn I use a 1976 MF10.
It looks just like this one, but without the chrome hubcaps.
