My first ride was at 11 years old on a new Honda Cub 50. The 18 year old owner let a friend and me ride the bike around the backyard. It kept us out of the house while he made out with my friend's 17 year old sister. |

At 16 I hit the street on my brother's old Jawa Californian. The shift lever swung up and over to become the kick starter. It was my first real ride and I was scared of it. |

I bought a new '75 Kawasaki KZ400D from Cycle World East on Kempt Rd. I paid $1830.00 including taxes and two helmets, one full & one open face. It could lay 30 feet of rubber and lift the front end with ease. (Squid Years) I spent many hundreds of hours discovering new sights. This old girl may be very tired but she still sleeps in my shed. How could I sell her? |

This is my 1978 Suzuki A100 Go-Fer. I bought it in 1987. It still runs fineand I've ridden it to the city several times. It is a fun little bike, in perfect shape. I've hit 65 mph on a long flat straight. I'm told that all I need is a muzzle and I'll look like a Russian bear on it. |

I bought this 1981 CB650C in 1988 for $2,000.00. It came from Honda with the touring accessories on it. All I added was a CB, touring seat and throttle lock. It was a great bike, that I wish I still owned. In 1999 I rebuilt the top end and sold it for $1,800.00. It was running better than when I bought it. It handled well and stopped on a dime. Great bike! |

My 1984 Yamaha XVZ12TDK, Venture Royale. I've shifted into 5th gear at 180 kph. It'll out accelerate all touring bikes except for the GL1500 & 1800, but it'll out corner them. Bought in 1999, I ran up 44,000km in two years. A good sound system and the electronic cruise control let the miles flow by. The Barnett carbon-fibre clutch is fantastic. In 2004 I dropped in a 1300cc engine from a 1987 Royale. She is a very comfortable daily-ride, rain or shine. |
