Calling All With Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease!!
The CMT Survey was dedicated to all people with Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease, those who care for us, and others who help us cope with the disease! I was a Registered Nurse who was diagnosed at the age of 35 with CMT. Over the years I have experienced most of the same frustrations as everyone complains of, when they can't get the information they want about the disease.
 The CMT Survey was designed to have the results featured on this website. The results of the Survey include information about medical problems which some of us appear to have, that we are told have nothing to do with our CMT. Other questions asked cover the percentages of CMTers with specific medical problems and about the mobility aides that we use. Information from these results may enable other CMTers to find other ways of coping with the disease and find solutions so that they may enjoy the fullest possible life!
Unfortunately, due to complications from my CMT, I am no longer able to maintain the survey. I am leaving the raw data on this website for information purposes only. No further survey results will be added to the existing figures. For information purposes only, I will publish the actual survey here on this website so that the questions may be viewed by interested parties.
I am hopeful that the existing results will contain useful information for everyone, with suggestions on health care, and ways of making life easier.
