**This Medication list, was originally compiled by the Medical Advisory Board of the Charcot-Marie-Tooth Association. **

Please Note: All Medications have side effects and many not listed here can cause peripheral neuropathy. All drugs that are prescribed for you should be checked with your doctor and your pharmacist for the possible side effect of "peripheral neuropathy". Some of these drugs can be taken safely, but if you are aware that a drug has the possible side effect of peripheral neuropathy, and your doctor feels that there is no alternative available, then you can watch for worsening of your CMT symptoms and alert your doctor if they occur. Some people with CMT are also extremely sensitive to drugs that are not on this list. Drugs Marked with an asterisk (*) may be used with caution.
