Head West out of Panama City on the InterAmerican Highway and after you pay the 50 cent toll on the Autopista, count five elevated pedestrian crosswalks. (There is also one vehicle overpass.) Just before the fifth pedestrian crosswalk there are some small signs that say Arenosa, Santa Rita and El Espino.
On the left, you will see a Delta Gas Station. (The Delta Station sign actually says El Espino on it) Just as you pass under the crosswalk on the right directly across from the Delta Station is a Chino tienda and a two lane paved road. If you are here after 7:30AM the store will be open and you can pick up ice, beer, soft drinks or snacks you may have forgotten.
Turn right on this road and proceed 25 km. Just stay straight on the paved road all the way. You will see small white concrete KM markers along the way. Be on the lookout for chickens, dogs and most importantly cows being moved along the road. :)
Just before the 25Km there is a sign indicating Arenosa is to the left. You will turn left directly in front of the 25 KM marker. Once you turn left,(the KM markers continue to go up) and when you have driven six more KM you will see the 31 KM marker just as you are entering the village of Arenosa.
To get to the pontoon boat you will be turning in my driveway which is the first driveway on the right after you pass the 31 KM marker. (It is only about 50 feet past the marker) You will see my house. It is light olive green with white trim and is on columns. Just beyond the main driveway you will see another entrance with parking. If someone is not there to meet you, honk the horn and the guide and my caretaker will come up and help you carry your stuff down to the boat.
