| The following are brief descriptions of the Hartford Alumnae Chapter of Delta Gamma. If you would like further information or are interested in becoming an officer or volunteer please contact Tracy S. Please do not hesitate to contact us regarding a position that is already filled as we are holding elections soon. President - The President serves as the alumnae group�s leader and representative within the Fraternity and the community. The president must be knowledgeable about the Fraternity, Foundation, alumnae group and alumnae Panhellenic. VP: Programming - The vice-president: programming provides balanced programming that is both educational and enjoyable for alumnae in all life stages. Programs include information about the Fraternity, Foundation, Leadership for Life, Watchwords/Alumnae Pursuit, Well Aware, Rituals and just for fun activities. VP: Membership - The vice-president: membership is an important team member as she ensures successful membership for the growth and development of the alumnae chapter. The vice-president membership works hand in hand with the vice-president finance and the Alumnae Assistant Administrator (AAA) to help ensure members do not get overlooked or forgotten and that financial support for the group can continue and grow. VP: Communications - The vice-president: communications in our chapter serves as the recording secretary and corresponding secretary. She is also responsible for maintaining good communications through written correspondence. Our VP: communications also serves as our ANCHORA Correspondent. VP: Finance - The vice-president: finance (treasurer) ensures a solid financial base for the alumnae group. She collects dues, pays bills in a timely fashion, records dues in Alumnae Assistant (our treasurer serves as the Chapter�s AAA as well) and maintains a bank account for the chapter. VP: Foundation - The vice-president: Foundation follows the guidelines of the Delta Gamma Foundation to coordinate the philanthropic activities of the alumnae chapter. She maintains awareness of Service for Sight, Foundation awareness, fundraising and Well Aware. Panhellenic Delegate - The Panhellenic delegate supports and strengthens both Delta Gamma and fraternities in general by encouraging a cooperative relationship and an exchange of ideas, programs and information among alumnae Panhellenic groups in the community. Collumnae Chairman - The collumnae chairman plans and coordinates events involving local collegians at the University of Hartford (Eta Beta) and the University of Connecticut (Epsilon Pi). Webmaster - The Webmaster is responsible for the material and content on the chapter�s Web site. She updates it frequently and as needed. The Webmaster adheres to the Delta Gamma Web Site Guidelines so the site maintains appropriate and approved content. ANCHORA Correspondent - The ANCHORA correspondent is responsible for providing written reports to the Fraternity magazine, the ANCHORA. Currently, our vice president: communications serves as the ANCHORA correspondent. Alumnae Assistant Administrator - The Alumnae Assistant Administrator (AAA) manages the Alumnae Assistant. The position can be a separate board position, however, due to chapter size our vice-president: finance also serves as our AAA. Newsletter - Our newsletter editor prepares the chapter�s biannual newsletters (Fall and Spring). She also works closely with the AAA and the Webmaster. Advisory Team - The advisory team is composed of local alumnae who volunteer time and service to support the local collegiate chapters. Advisors are available for support and guidance for on-the-spot answer to questions concerning programming procedures. Decade Captain - Women who represent members of our Alumnae Chapter who initiated Delta Gamma in a specific decade. A Decade Captain coordinates "generation-specific" special events for those in their respective decade. This is a new position for the Hartford Alumnae Chapter. |
