Demon Driver
Roads are a shallow facade of civilisation, with only the thin veneer of
painted markings and the proclamation of hieroglyphic signs planted by
the roadside to keep drivers within the confines of insubstantial laws
governing the health and lives of all who venture outside the
comparative safety of their homes.
Crouched inside a gleaming metallic monster lurks one whose growing
addiction to the pursuit of freedom and gratification has led him to
disregard society's laws concerning moral judgements and individual
rights. Signs and markings mean nothing to him. Today, he seeks a
family's destruction.
The cool breeze feels good against the perspiring skin of mum and dad
travelling from town. Today it's Tommy's birthday and they're taking
him on a picnic as a treat. Presents are strewn on the back seat and
Tommy caresses them with barely suppressed excitement. He laughs as his
dad utters a rude word when noticing the erratic behaviour of the driver
up ahead.
Erratic behaviour has become manic as he thunders down the road, his
hand pumping inside his trousers to the rythm of the song on the stereo
as he nears the victims in his sights:
"I'm the one to taste your death
Basking in your dying breath
Messenger of all demise
Point is where all die"
Caco-demonic laughter shakes his body in a grip of orgasmic frenzy when
he steers the car toward the oncoming family. The startled looks of
terror on their faces is his last sight before his trousers feel warm
and wet as the collision takes its toll. Rending metal screams and
sparks fly as the cars impact. Tommy's neck is snapped as the car rolls
in to a ditch with a jolt.

The nurse closes the curtains around the bed of the survivor. Her eyes
find those of the doctor writing up the chart.
"It looks like he'll live. It's a small miracle, considering. The
chances are fairly good that he'll walk again".
"Does he know? About the others?"
"Not yet. The last died after he lost consciousness again. He was in a
terrible state of guilt when he spoke to the police. I don't think he
knows exactly what happened - it looks like he had some sort of
seizure".
