| Would you like to visit Yosemite National Park? Here is your opportunity to view some pictures and obtain information about the park. YNP is a very popular tourist destination, especially during the summer months. Try visiting early spring or late fall for the best times to avoid the crowds. Spend some time exploring Glacier Point as it offers many picturesque views. There are many good hiking trails along the scenic dead end road to Glacier Point. My favorite hike is an easy 2.2 mile round trip walk to Sentinel Rock for a beautiful sun set. Bring a flashlight for the hike back to the parking lot. Another great hike is to Vernal Falls. It's a 3 mile round trip hike, all up hill to the falls, and the last 1/4 mile is strenuous. Allow 2 1/2 to 3 hours to enjoy this hike. See the Hiking Guide in the link 'Yosemite Guide" for more hiking trails. If your staying in Yosemite Valley, the park offers free bus service within the valley and it's the best way to get around. Check out my pictures to see the inside of a tent rental. It is an economical way to stay in the park and it was in a very convenient location. Rates are as low as $77 per night at Curry Village for a simple canvas tent cabin with nearby bathroom to over $400 per night for a room at The Ahwahnee. Additional information on the numerous hiking trails in the park is also available at the Ranger Station. Fee Schedule Yosemite Pass: $40 (valid one year) Automobiles: $20 (valid seven days) Individuals: $10 (valid seven days) (on foot, horseback, motocycle, or bus) Use your (America the Beautiful – National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass) or (America the Beautiful – National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass – Senior Pass) for park entry.
