Sounds of the DART Rail
The motors on the DART Rail create the most unusual sounds when accelerating and decelerating. Here are just a few examples:
- DART Rail acceleration: Sound heard from outside the train as it leaves the West End Station.
- DART Rail inside: Sound heard from inside the train as it departs Dallas Union Station. You have to listen carefully.
- DART Rail deceleration: Sound from outside the train as it arrives at Dallas Union Station. The loud rumbling in the back ground is the Fort Worth TRE engine, and the harsh clicking sound at the end is the door locks being released on the DART Rail train.
- DART Rail deceleration again: Sound from outside the train as it arrives at the West End Station.
