When searching for a dog, for a friend or a Therapy dog first look for a breed you are looking for, like if your looking for a Golden search it up in books, internet, ect. Go to your local pound and see what is there. At the pound look at its health and its willing to get out or to stay in, if you want a hyper dog look for one that is barking and standing up on the door of the cage, if your looking for a more laid back kinda dog look for one that is laying down or just sitting there. If you want a purbreed and want to go to a breeder for a puppy look for the "right" breeder. Not someone that just breed on accident or for the money. Look for a breeder with more excperience and is breeding because they like the breed or the pair she put together. Then look at the mom and dad and if there are more older siblings, look at there health, skin, personalitys ect. After you have looked at them search for your puppy. If you looking for a laid back, more Therapy matiral lay pups on back, see if they come right up to you instead of going off and searching for things, stick your fingers in there mouth and just see how they are with weird things. If your looking for an outgoing pup that likes to play alot, and not be so sociable look for a rumbucios pup, one that likes to get in trouble, the one that watches the toy all the time. You know what your looking for, but there are so many responsibilties with owning a pet, like i said spay or neuter you pet. |
