Surf Report
DATE: September 13, 1998. VENUE: Cronulla
WEATHER: Sunny with no cloud on the coast. Light northerly breeze tending south as the day went on. Offshore winds Temperatre: 24C
SURF CONDITIONS: Good for the opening spring surf. Thank goodness it wasn't like the rain last week. Finally a warm day to enjoy the atmosphere.
Strong southerly rip with excellent 6 foot waves. Surprising surf conditions given the wind direction from the high located off the NSW east coast. The waves were not dumpers either, but were very strong close to shore more so than out to sea.
Water temperature was perhaps a little cold, but bearable with a rash vest under your wettie.
RATING: 7.5/10
SUMMARY: Let's hope these conditions continue!
