“HYPOCRITIC” RUDOLPH SLAMS “SHABBY ORGANISATION”

In an extraordinary attack on a “friend” he has known for over ten years, Rudolph Pereira (or Dr. Strangelove for those of you who get the reference) claimed that Dominic Moawad had not organised the movie trip to “TITANIC” carefully enough. This is in spite of Mr Moawad’s constant ramblings over the last few months that the opening day of Titanic would be a group event. Needless to say, Rudolph in spite of this vowed that he would not attend Thursday’s screening because of two absentees: Scotti and Brett. Moawad in a statement to the press said:

“I recall rather vividly saying at a recent trip to skirmish that everyone should leave Titanic opening night free. That was almost a full TWO weeks before opening day. Rudolph’s requirement is one week, and for all people, I fulfilled that.”

Scott Leslie, known for his brilliant memory skills, does not recall this. He had work on Thursday and so did Bashful. Mr Hall in a brilliant display of help to Rudolph backed up Rudolph’s proclamations that Titanic should be deferred to Friday. Latest reports indicated that Mr. Hall worked on Friday.

Dr. Strangelove is not traditionally known for his skills as an activist. But he has become widely known as an outspoken member of the group. A Barry Jones of sorts. From “ceasing contact” with the group, to “Protesting at last minute organising” by actually turning up to the event and participating in all its activities, Pereira has gained a reputation as a great man of principle amongst his peers.

However, Dr. Strangelove has now announced he is going to attend on SUNDAY to the movies with Brett and Scott and all the others who may be attending. Now this is particularly interesting since Rudolph himself does not seem to be protesting that Dominic Moawad himself cannot make it for the movie. Given Dr. Strangelove’s propensity for principle, shouldn’t he be “PROTESTING” because of this oversight... or is it just because Thursday evening was inconvenient. Perhaps, when someone takes the moral high ground, they should stick to the principles by which they proclaim. Hence, we here at the Australian Voice believe Rudolph will do the right thing and live up to his principles: “PROTEST” on Sunday by boycotting the events that take place. His appearance or non appearance will show whether he is a man of convenience or a man of principle. Mr Moawad however, appears to be handing out the olive branch:

“I just want Rudolph to acknowledge that he was wrong in this situation. Protesting because I actually told people more than a week in advance seems rather petty. If the reasons he gave for his Thursday boycott are true, he would not attend on Sunday. Maybe Thursday was just a bad time for him. So, I think calling for him to boycott on Sunday is rather pointless. He should go to the movies on Sunday and just because one or two cannot make it, even though up to a week’s notice has been given, that doesn’t mean the event should be cancelled. We all need to find it in our hearts to forgive Rudi, especially since it’s Christmas, but some of us must have an apology before we are willing to forgive. I will forgive Rudolph irrespective of whether he does what is right.”

Others however are not so forgiving. He has been labelled by various un named sources as “repulsive”, “irresponsible”, “a blabbering fool”, “a control freak”, “a better imitator of the crazy Boris Yeltsin than Yeltsin himself”, a “beguilingly boastful technocratically engineered psychopathic moron” who should “go get himself a whore and a tequila” (ed- this characteristic has also been linked to another person), “stick to gaining juvenile excitement from INSERTING his FLOPPY into the disc COMPARTMENT”, “improve of his pronunciation of certain French words so that little kids don’t go tell their parents.”

We know that Rudolph will have something to say about this. Perhaps he will be dignified and issue a full page statement outlining his hypocrisy and apologising to the collective for it. More likely though, Rudolph will deny the criticisms or not respond to them at all. Dr. Strangelove’s actions of protest remind us of the great words from Proverbs 13:

“Sensible people always think before they act, but stupid people advertise their ignorance.”

Lets hope Dr. Strangelove gets out of the advertising business very fast!
