Dominic Reflects on 21st while friends try to run away with the presents.

THE DOM TURNS TWENTY ONE

7 December 1998 ushered in the twenty second year in the life of Dominic Moawad. To celebrate this occasion, he invited his friends to a commemmorative dinner which was held at the Botanica Brasserie in Sydney. While two high profile names were unable to come, the dinner was a great time to reflect over the first twenty one years. Twenty First's often delve into sentimentalism, but thankfully, there was little of that going on.

Dominic was given a twenty first teddy bear, in which all present wrote messages of congratulations. The highlight of these messages was from the waitress at the restaurant who wrote "see you in your dreams." Such a comment delved Dominic into a state of temporary depression - even on his 21st, women would relegate themselves to his dreams. The "skinny dude's" commentary on this is a standout on the video. After dinner, which consisted of stir fry crocodiles, emu, camel and goat, the group politely asked for tea, and Georgia said "no." But in the end, she gave into the demands of the increasingly hostile mob, and coffee and tea was served. The evening was capped off with an impromptu performance on the Sheraton piano by the birthday boy, who was promptly told to "get off the piano". Below is a photo essay of the night.
