Movie Synopsis: Friday the 13th Part 6: Jason Lives By Derek Floyd on December 13, 2002 Well, Jason wasn't the killer in the last movie, but you can't keep a good movie monster down, no matter how hard you try. The real deal is back... The movie opens with a shot of a fog-shrouded wood. Tommy and Harris, another kid from Pinehurst, are driving down a road, and Tommy is intent on finding Jason's body and destroying it. They go into a graveyard, Tommy carrying the mask (not the same one from the last film), in search of the plot (not the movie's plot; it's been resurrected five times already). Tommy finds it: a rock with "Jason Voorhees" scratched on it. Tommy digs him up, opens the coffin, and reveals a worm-ridden (literally) corpse. He rips a spike off the gate and rams it into the corpse repeatedly. He leaves it impaled, a bad idea, because lightning strikes it twice, and Jason awakes from death. He grabs Tommy as he's crawling out of the hole, but he gets away, splashes him with gas, and lights a match. It goes out, and it starts to rain. Harris whacks Jason with a shovel hard enough to break it, but Jason doesn't flinch. He turns and punches his fist through Harris's body, and Tommy flees. The credits roll, and Tommy arrives at the sheriff's. He tells the officer that Jason's back, but he doesn't believe him; they lock Tommy up. A guy and a girl, camp counselors named Darren and Lyssa, drive down an isolated road in a VW and encounter Jason, but they don't know it's HIM. Darren honks, and Jason flattens the tire with the spike. Darren takes a gun out of the glove box and points it at Jason. He puts a headlight out, and Darren shoots him just as he gets stuck and flung like a bale of hay. Lyssa stumbles out hysterically, thinking he's a mugger. He disappears, and then impales her through the head. Tommy is still in the cell. The new counselors come in with the sheriff, including his daughter, Megan. Tommy tells them that Jason is back, but they don't believe him, either. The gravedigger finds the empty hole in the morning and fills it. The other counselors are concerned about Darren and Lyssa and bat the Jason idea around, and then the camp's kids arrive. Two dweeby paintballers argue, while Jason watches from the brush. A woman from the other team jumps out and gets them, and tells them to put on their headbands that have "Dead" written on them. Foreshadowing. Jason kills another paintballer with his own machete, ripping his arm off and sending his head flying into a tree, which has a happy face carved into it. After a brief shot with the camp, the other guy is back on the hunt. He trips and loses his gun, but finds it. The "dead" guys and the girl are together, when Jason jumps down and decapitates all three of them with one swing. The other dweeby paintballer can't stop him with his paintball gun, so he runs. Tommy has escaped and the sheriffs are pursuing. He stops and runs past them back to the graveyard. The sheriff brings him down and cuffs him, when the digger shows up. He takes a swig of whiskey. The counselors get the kids riled up (always a bad idea), and Cort goes off with the boys to teach them "Boy scouting." Jason walks by. The sheriff throws Tommy out at the edge of Forest Green with a threat should he ever return. A guy, Steven, and his girl are up in the woods. The drunk digger stumbles by and pays them no mind. He continues drinking, and calls the whiskey the death of him. Jason takes the whiskey bottle, breaks it in his hand, and thrusts it into him. Steven leaves his girl to check on the scream, and sees Jason standing over a body. He runs back and takes the girl with him. They jump on his motorcycle, but Jason impales them both with his machete. At the camp lodge, all the little kids are fast asleep, while the girls are playing cards. Sissie (looks like Tootie) and Paula talk, and Sissie tries to get Paula to play a card game called "Camp Blood." They hear a scream, and they run out to the kids' cabin; one of the little girls saw a monster. Cort and another girl are in an RV with the music up loud, and Jason approaches. He rips the power cord, leaving them in the dark. With great tension, Cort goes out to check the plug. The plug is fine. The RV doesn't start right away, but they get it running and head back. Jason jumps out of the bathroom and pulls her in. She screams, Cort doesn't understand, and Jason crushes her head into the wall. Jason pulls a survival knife and puts it through Cort's head. The RV crashes, and Jason gets out. The sheriff is arguing with his daughter until the deputy calls; he's found the dead counselors, and it looks like Jason's style. Tommy sits in his truck, reading a book on the occult, while Megan sits in her dad's office, and Jason stalks through the dark. The phone rings, and Tommy is on the other end. She tells him she'll pick him up. Jason returns to Crystal Lake, machete in hand. The sheriff arrives while an ambulance takes one body away, and the deputy calls him over; he's found parts from another corpse. Sissie is reading in the lodge, when she hears something outside. She looks, and hears footsteps. Paula wakes up and thinks it's Cort, and she says that she should teach him a lesson. Sissies goes along with it, but it doesn't go the way it's supposed to. Tension mounts, and Jason pulls her out the window and rips her head off. Paula doesn't know what happened, so she goes back to sleep. Megan picks Tommy up at the general store, and the kids are all asleep. Jason walks by the kids' cabin, carrying Sissie's headless body, and the girl who saw him before sees it. Megan retreats from a roadblock the sheriff set up to catch Tommy, but they pursue, and she gets caught at another roadblock. Somebody enters Pamela and Sissie's cabin with a bloody machete. It isn't Jason, but the girl, scared silly. Jason watches them as they run around outside. The sheriff rips into Tommy, but has to take a call; Cort and his girl have been found. Tommy was with Megan when the killings happened, but the sheriff still has him locked up (they think he's the one doing it). Pamela talks to the girl about being scared, and then leaves; Jason watches from the window, following her as she goes. She leaves the cabin, stops and looks around, and then walks toward the corner, calling for Cort. She doesn't see anybody, so she runs back to her cabin. Sissie isn't back, either. She picks up the phone, but it's dead. The machete is gone, and the door opens ominously. She goes toward it, and looks out. She reaches, but it closes on it own. Jason comes through and blood spatters a window. He smashes her body through the window and pulls it back in. The deputy is doing paperwork and watching Tommy and Megan. They fool around, and Rick gets up to break them up. Megan pulls his gun and trains the laser sight on his nose. She orders him to let him out, and then Tommy puts him in the cell and they leave by car, talking about how to end the nightmare. Jason walks through the kids' cabin, and notices the little girl. He just stares at her, and she screws her eyes shut and prays. He leaves when he hears the sheriff's car. The sheriff and his deputies start looking around. He looks in the first cabin and finds a bloodbath. A deputy searches the dock, while Jason watches from afar. He steps out and hurls a knife into the deputy's head. The sheriff is satisfied that the kids are safe, but looks back in to see that one bed is empty. The last deputy calls for an unknown to come out of the bush, but the little girl grabs his leg. Jason appears and she runs. The deputy shoots him several times, but he walks through and crushes his head. The girl runs into the sheriff. The boys come out of their cabin and he leads them all to the cabin and instructs them to hide. He takes a shotgun and goes out to the woodpile, where the deputy got crushed. He trips on the corpse, gets up and runs into Jason. They square off, and when Jason moves first, the sheriff blasts him. He looks dead, but he isn't; he empties the shotgun into him, and switches to his revolver before he falls back. Megan and Tommy arrive, and she runs toward the bloody cabin. The sheriff runs through the woods while Jason follows. Megan enters the kids' cabin and calms them while Tommy goes to the dock with a heavy length of chain. The sheriff continues to hide, Jason continues to hunt him, and Megan reassures the kids. Megan runs to her father's car, and Sissie's head falls out. She screams, and Jason hears it. He goes off, but the sheriff jumps him and attacks him. Jason gets the upper hand and folds him like a shirt. Tommy is preparing to get rid of Jason, with the chain and a heavy rock. Jason breaks into the kids' cabin and they scream and run. Megan runs, but Jason gets her and starts to crush her head. Tommy calls to him, and he goes after him, walking into the water to get him in his boat. He stalks toward him, and disappears under the water. Tommy waits, dumps some gas into the water, and then lights it, making Jason surface. They struggle, and Tommy tries to wrap the chain around him. He hides under the water again, and comes back up on fire. Tommy wraps the chain around his neck, and Jason sinks the boat. The rock keeps him down, but he keeps his grip on Tommy. He strangles him and releases his body to float up. Megan and the kids watch, but Megan runs to the water and jumps in to get him out. Jason grabs her ankle and tries to drown her. She grabs the outboard motor and tries to start it. It roars to life and she drives it into his neck. She grabs Tommy and takes him to safety as the motor cuts through Jason's neck. Megan performs CPR on Tommy while the kids watch, and Tommy comes back from the brink. The nightmare looks like it has ended. The next day, Jason is still chained to the bottom, but he's still alive; the nightmare is far from over...
