| This is where the heat exchanger under the furnace intersects with the floor duct. The photo is looking forward in the duct work from the register next to the rear slide. | ||||||||||||||||

| Here we are looking from the heat exchanger towards the intersection with the duct work. Notice the factory installed spacer made from aluminum tubing. I don't know if you can make it out or not, but it is only screwed to the sheet metal at the top. |

| This one, I took after I got the bottom all opened up. I added the labels to help orientate things (I was laying on my side when I took the photo). Notice the 3 inch gap between the duct, and the heat exhanger. This is just pure laziness if you ask me. It looks like when it was built, they made the box under the heat exchanger the wrong size, or mounted it too far to the left of the trailer, and then just taped the heck out it to fix it, instead of fixing it properly. To fix, I took some new sheet metal, and made an extension to the heat exchanger, routing it into the floor duct, and riveting it in place. I then used aluminum duct tape to seal all of the joints. |
