A New Beginning
The Dark~Knights were founded about 1 1/2 years ago, by the infamous Dark~Knight_1. When Dark~Knight_1 made the clan, it started out small, with only 4 members in it. The first 4 were, Dark~Knight_1, Dark~Knight_2, Dark~Knight_59, and Dark~Knight_69. As the days progressed, more and more Knights joined up and the knights grew to be a powerful clan to rival the others. As time when by, there were certain Knights which would distinugish themselves among the others and become power warlords of the clan. Many of which left to start their own clans. These such clans are still present today, but are not a powerful as they once were, for they thrived on the power that the Dark~Knights were putting out. Such examples are the Demon~Knights, Killer~Knights, Green~Knights, and the Wise~Knights. Of the many Dark~Knights that remained, a new problem arose. There were just too many members and not enough names and numbers. Two channels were needed to support all the Knights in their chat rooms and channels and created a new need for more bots. When the D~K had over 100 members, we made the decision to filter the other Knights into the other branches of the D~K. Slowly as time went on, several knights staged their own takeovers from with in the D~K and elt they owned the right of the D~K. However, all those who did revolt, realized that those corrupt leaders had no men to lead and therefore were praised for their loyality to the D~K. But the rebels on the other hand were banished from the ranks of the D~K and went off to start new clans or just play as fallen Knights. Of those who opposed and revolted, only one was left back in, due to his honorable past and unspoken loyality to the D~K. Dark~Knight_23 was accepted into the D~K as a regualr and was not given any privlages for his treachery. But Dark~Knight_23's loyality and patience paid off. Soon his won favor with the leaders and was soon promoted back into his lost Master Status.

Treachery In the Dark~Knights

Soon after this debacle, the knights once again flourished and remained at the top of the powerful clans. Soon the Dark~Knights would become a clan that everyone knew of. This was the D~K's golden age and undisputidatly their crowning achievement. But things were not going to be easy for the D~K ahead. Little did anyone know that one of their most trusted leaders was plotting the D~K's demise and removal of its famed leaders. Soon the D~K had many allies and were holding at least 3 tryouts per hour and letting in more and more members than was necessary. But wins and popularity flowed richly and thus no complaints were spoken out. However, one event would forever change the future of the D~K. In a Masters Free-For-All of different clans would prove disasterous to the D~K. Dark~Knight_1, Dark~Knight_2, Dark~Knight_59, Dark~Knight_59, Dark~Knight_11 and DK~Freakout were on the battlefield facing for fun, (which was understood by the D~K at least) to see who was the better strategist. Dark~Knight_59 was repeatedly complaing about hacking in that game and that his repeasted attacks were the result of hacks. But everyone dismissed this as due to his aparant anger of losing. But his "complaints" were infact the first sign of the treachery that would soon follow. After an agreement at the end of that battle, that each clan would now have stronger bonds as friends for each of the masters enjoyed playing expert players such as themselves. When the Dark~Knights returned from their battle, they did not recieve a warm welcome. In the channel waiting for the knights were a dozen bots and angry clan members froma {DB} clan. They demanded that the D~K disband and give up its allies and memebers and hand over leadership to them. But when the Knights asked why this was taking place, a loyal and trusted knight stood out and showed his true colors.

The Fall of the Dark~Knights

As the Leaders of the Dark~Knights stood in wonder, one knight would join the channel and declare his hatred of the D~K. This knight has never been seen of since his treachery, but a ever eager clan waits for some word of his where-abouts. When Dark~Knight_11 announced his rightful ownership with the {DB} of the Dark~Knights, the masters could only laugh and ask if this was a joke. Surely our allies the {DB} wouldn't betray a much more powerful clan and attempt to make their new rules apply to legions of knights. But alas the masters knew not of how serious D~K_11's words were. At first the D~K thought we would only be out of our channel temporarily, but the bots were always left in the channel and banned any who joined. Not having been able to get the word out to the other knights of the power change, the loyal knights were informed that the founders were tired of such a pitiful clan and wanted out. That the clan contained only newbies. At first the knights did not belive it, but somehow D~K_11 managed to break the passwords on two of the masters names and rejoin the channel and "inform" the loyal knights of their stupidity and lack of skills. D~K_11 was seen as the savior and one soul beleiver of the Dark~Knights. And from then on the Knights would hold a position of power in the Battle.Net gaming world.

A Master's Return to Power

Soon after loosing the Dark~Knights, the master went their seperate ways, some using their once famed names, and falling into other clans. Some became interested in other games and were never heard from again. But there was one Knight who still wanted to encourage the Dark~Knights and continue the rein of power it once held. Although his effort seemed in vain, there was little he could really do to maintain any hold over the D~K being banished from their ranks as a "traitor". However, this knight remained patient and tried to round up as many master as he knew still existed. While trying to find the fallen masters, the collapse of the Dark~Knights soon spread like wildfire around the Battlen.Net boards. The "leader" Dark~Knight_11 was foolish and made enemies with real life hackers. This people got into the channels and flooded them with bots and stold the IP addresses of the remaining knights. Their names could not be used, and no one knew any backup channel, since none had been created. Over a great period of time, the once mighty ranks of the knights lay scatterd and forgotten by all except one loyal master. Dark~Knight_59 was plotting returning the Dark~Knights to power and reconnecting up with the old master and warriors. As time went on, the word that the Dark~Knights would were trying to come back, the origional founder, Dark~Kngiht_1, meet up with Dark~Knight_59 under the name (CS)Knight. When these two meet, they could hardly contain their happiness to finally meet one another. At first Dark~Knight_1 was skeptical of the return to power, but Dark~Knight_59 kept encouraging him and finally the Knights had their old channel back and were able to start recruiting again and seek out the old knights. Dark~Knight_1 and Dark~Knight_59 were soon joined by the loyal Dark~Knight_23 and Dark~Knight_2, re-establishing about 85% of the old leadership. Soon a webpage was to follow the re-creation of the Dark~Knights, and would allow for a better source of information for the knights and the fail-safe that no knights would be left in the dark. More time went by and more knights joined up, Dark~Knight_1 stepped aside as true leader, and handed down the role to Dark~Knight_59 for his extreme loyality and belief that the Knights would return to power.
