It was cold

and then there was warmth.

It was weakening

and clutching my heart.

Love, it was called,

a comfort for the soul

protecting for the spirit

once left in the cold.

Such joy it brought

that it made the world spin.

What a dizzying bliss

that one word can bring.

Floating in the sky,

soaring with the clouds

with arms spread like wings

with only ups, no downs.

Surely no other

could surpass such feeling

but take heart to know

that none other can be as fleeting.

For winds took the love away

No matter how hard you hold

Just as time can never stay

Again is was cold.
