After her death, Lillian's estate was auctioned, and as she requested, a portion of the proceeds were bequethed to the Roundhouse for restoration.
Lillian participated in a play on the Roundhouse state during her junior year in highschool and made headlines in the Des Moines Sunday Register on May 20 ,1923, when she and Leone Couldter wore knickers to highschool. The whole city of Dexter was in an uproar when the girls were ordered home to don their skirts.
The city of Dexter wishes to express their gratitude to her family and friends for Lillian's generosity and committment to the community.
