Larry had 2 children and 5 grandchildren. Larry's wife Mabel died on 05/30/1967. Larry continued to work as a Stooge with his life-long friend Moe until he suffered a stroke in 1970. He died on 01/24/1975
In 1934, he teamed up with his friend Larry Fine and his youngest brother Jerome to become The Three Stooges for Columbia Studios. His brother Shemp was actually the first 3rd Stooge before Curly. Shemp saw no future as a Stooge and left the act to persue his own career. Curly signed on when Moe landed the contract with Columbia. Eventually, Shemp would return to the act as Curlys replacement.
Moe's wife Helen was a first cousin to Harry Houdini. They had two children, Joan and Paul. Moe died on 05/04/1975 four months after his friend, Larry.
His third marriage was the most scandalous, being exposed in newspapers. His health took a rapid decline following this messy divorce.
Jerry's actual nickname was Babe, being the youngest of 5 boys. However, older brother Moe talked Babe into shaving his moustache and head to become Curly.
Following a number of strokes, Curly died on 01/18/1952 at the age of 48.
