I believe that homosapiens are the only version of humans that have ever existed. I believe that Neanderthals and other "primate apes" were either genetically flawed homosapiens or were not of the human species at all but were in fact an ape unrelated to humans, though similar in design. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. Genesis 1:27 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. Genesis 2:7 I believe that Adam was created in the mental, emotional, spiritual image of God. Psalm 8 and Hebrews 2 tell us that humans were made a little lower than the angels The classic way to say "human" is the generic use of the word "man" which covered both genders in early writ. For example: And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. Genesis 6:7 Moving on... For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Hebrews 4:12 [As surely as] there is a physical body, there is also a spiritual body. 1 Corinthians 15:44 Humans are threefold beings: soul, spirit, and body. Humans are living souls that live in a flesh body and in a spirit body simultaneously. And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Thessalonians 5:23 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. Humans will never cease to exist like plants and animals do after death. Every human will get to go to Heaven but not every human will get to stay there. We will all stand before God and receive justice. Those who have rejected Jesus as Lord, Rescuer, and Messiah will be placed in a place where they will be totally separated from God and be tormented by Satan and his demons forever. This is called eternal punishment and eternal death. Those who have accepted Jesus as Lord, Rescuer, and Messiah will reap the reward of being with God forever, finding out the reason they were designed, existing the way God intended, and no eternal punishment and no eternal death. Humans were designed to be representative extensions of God's Kingdom in the universe for the God who exists inside and outside of the universe. Most people today have no proper understanding of a kingdom. Humans were designed to oversee and rule this Earth.
