Guilty by Association

inspired by a 1995 message from Brian Casale

Not only are kids and teenagers consumed with the thoughts and opinions of others but adults are always concerned and worried about how others perceive them. We are driven to impress people with with what we own, how we look, how we talk, and what we can achieve. Yet, God said that this person is not wise. Let's examine what the scripture says about this.

For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise. 2 Corinthians 10:12 KJV

We do not dare to classify or compare ourselves with some who commend themselves. When they measure themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they are not wise. NIV

And so, obviously, those who live to please others through materialism, popularity, position, or just doing so to fit in are not wise. How can we live our lives in an endless pursuit to please everyone? On the job, persons who are always griping and nit-picking over meaningless things will never be kept happy. The same goes for individuals at school who always point out the stuff goling wrong and they concentrate on it and they nag. And nag some more. Church people are some of the worst for this. No matter what the pastor does, people at church are always finding something wrong.

Even sinners can point out the problems. Even the liberals can locate mess ups. Yet, who is going to stand up and lead by example by shining the light of Christ in a darkened world? If we are ashamed of Christ before men, then He will be ashamed of us when we stand before His Father. He said so.

With the exception of liberals, people from other countries see, understand, and know these things. But the task at hand is to lead people out of the darkened brain washings of Post Modern Liberalism into the ways of God which are extremely contary to Satan's Post Modern regimes.

DC Talk sings:

"To label wrong and right by the people's sight

That's like going to a loser to ask advice about

Basing your plans on another man's way of livin' life

That's creating a brand of ethics sure to be missing the punch

No count morals that are out to lunch

They're slidin' away cause everything is okay

It was taboo back then but today you say what the hay--

Socially Acceptable- It's okay - It's Alright

Socially Acceptable - It's okay - It's Alright - In whose sight?

Socially Acceptable - - - -

Times are changing with morals in decay

Human rights have made the wrongs okay

Somethings missing

And if you're asking me

I think that something is the G - O - D -- yeah--"

Let me ask you something. When if the Liberals succeed and continue on the path that has lead other nations into Fascism, Communism, and Socialism, And if they succeed in making serving God a crime... Would you be an outlaw?

Christ was a rebel Liberal but not in the modern distorted sense of the word "liberal." Nor does this modern liberalism truly offer a choice to the unborn. Pro choice? Get real. The child's choice is stripped from them in the name of "CONVENIENCE." Murderous abomination. Abortion...

Let's return to the message theme...

When if a friend was involved in a crime and if you were with them when the crime was committed, from the law's viewpoint... You are guilty by association. If you support an organization and that orgnaization even does something you disagree with. You are just as guilty due to your support of the organization. I do realize that some Post Modern Liberals reading this are cussing by now but frankly I don't much care what the devil nor his troopers think.

The people you hang around and draw strength from affect you on a daily basis. What are those person's points of view? Where do they stand on issues? Who do they support? Who do they fight for? Who do they live for? What is their motivation in life?

Those people you hang around, those people you draw strength from begin to affect your thinking, your decisions, your prayer life, your family life, and your walk with the Lord. We are guilty by association.

The scripture says Come out from among them and be ye seperate"

Oh but Jeremy, Jesus ate with the sinners... Yes. He did. But he did not draw strength from them nor did he follow after them. He did however go to them and reached out to them. When he did so, He was always on a mission to save the lost. Not to join them in their ventures. EVANGELISM! MISSIONS! THE GOSPEL! OUTREACH!

Guilty by association... We become who we hang around. We are influenced by those we keep company with. We are influenced by the people we go to when things get rough. Who do you draw strength from?
