Death

There are two forms of death:
1) physical - The body ceases to function and ceases to continually regenerate.
2) spiritual. - Separation from God.

Death was not intended for humans and animals. Also, all were meant to be vegetarian. See Genesis 1:27-30, 2:17; 3:1-24

Satan tricked Adam and Eve and were given the reward of physical and spiritual death:

Adam sinned, and that sin brought death into the world. Now everyone has sinned, and so everyone must die. Romans 5:12

There is one journey through life for each human:
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: Hebrews 9:27

Our souls and spirits do not cease or sleep after death.

Death is not an entity. There is no Grim Reaper nor equivalent spirit being. However at death, every individual will be approached by either God's angels or Satan's demons who will escort the deceased's soul and spirit to Heaven with God or to the prison called Hell, The Pit.

Don't be surprised! The time will come when all of the dead will hear the voice of the Son of Man, and they will come out of their graves. Everyone who has done good things will rise to life, but everyone who has done evil things will rise and be damned. John 5:28-29

At the end of time, all beings will stand before the throne together:
And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. Revelation 20:12

Don't be afraid of people. They can kill you, but they cannot harm your soul. Instead, you should fear God who can destroy both your body and your soul in hell. Matthew 10:28

The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. 1 Corinthians 15:26

Death is not something a born again Christian needs to fear. However, if you are troubled about death then you should begin attending a Bible believing church regularly and ask the Lord into your life.
