| Burial In the scriptures, we find that people were buried and or placed in tombs after their death. Yet, this is not the only method used scripturally. In Samuel 31, we find that the bodies of King Saul and his sons Jonathan, Abinadab, and Melchishua bodies were burned by men of God. Afterward, their bones and ashes were buried near Jabesh. Some folks are afraid of not being buried at sea or in a coffin. They seem to think the Lord will have a problem in locating their corpse when it is time for the resurrection. Maybe it is believed that it makes it easier for the Lord when we are laid to rest in a coffin. Nonetheless, God is a little "bigger" than we think. God is the God who took nothing and made it something. God took dust and breathed into it and man became a living soul. It will not be a difficult matter for God to locate your dust. Besides, do you think He is going to use the old parts anyway? You see, we will all be "upgraded": Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? 1 Corinthians 31:51-55 There are other things in life to be concerned about.
