World Council of Churches

World Council of Churches: An international agency promoting interfaith dialogue and ecumenical cooperation among churches. Most participants are mainline denominations dominated by the theological perspective of Liberal Christianity. -- Watchman Fellowships 2001 Index of Cults and Religions

In 1937, churches decided to design the Word Council of Churches. In 1948, after World War 2, the World Council of Church was formed.

The World Council of Churches is an ecumenical movement. An ecumenical movement is where many people within a denomination or when several denominations come together for a common cause. This would at first seem a Godsend. Yet, the World Council of Churches is presently dominated by mainline Liberalist churches like PCUSA, Church of Christ, United Methodist, Episcopalian, and the American Baptist Churches USA.

By Liberal, I mean:
1) Voting rather than looking to scripture as the final authority.
2) Denial of Christ as God in flesh.
3) Denial of the virgin birth, crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension of Christ.
4) Denial that Christ died for all.
5) Denial of of the miracles of Christ and or Christ's second coming and millenial kingdom.

here for a progressive definition.

I wish to stress that unity among Christians is fine as long as they do not embrace Liberalist notions and keep to the scripture instead.
