Trinity = tri-une = three unity God = Father, Son, and Spirit In the beginning, God Where did God come from? If all places are locations in creation then God would have had to have come from nowhere. God is not confined to space, time, matter, energy, or location. God is seated in eternity. In the beginning, God took nothing, made it something, took the something that he made and hung it upon nothing, and that is where everything is. God is not a substance or a creature. God is Creator. Words of Jesus: Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost: Matthew 28:19 KJV Three persons one God. One God three persons. Three parts but one God. Etc. However you choose to say it, the Bible gives irrefutable evidence that God is a Tri-Une (3 in 1). And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: Genesis 1:26 KJV The Father speaks to Messiah Jesus: THE LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool. PSALM 110 God came from Teman, and the Holy One from mount Paran, Selah. Habakkuk 3:3 God at the Tower of Babel: Go to, let us go down and confound their language, of all the earth that they may not understand one another's speech. Genesis 11:7 The Trinity works together much like a team, a family, a marriage, or the church. The three are equal in every aspect. Yet, The Father is honored as the Highest, the Son Jesus Christ in honored as second, and the Holy Spirit will not speak of Himself but only promotes The Father and The Son. God The Father is not Jesus. God The Father is not The Holy Spirit. God The Father is a person. God The Father is God. Jesus is not The Father. Jesus is not The Holy Spirit. Jesus is a person. Jesus is God and a man. His humanity began in Mary. His eternity has no beginning. See John 1. The Holy Spirit is not God The Father. The Holy Spirit is not Jesus. The Holy Spirit is a person. The Holy Spirit is God. There is only one God. Words of Jesus: Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come. John 16:13 The word 'Trinity' was used before and after the formation of the Roman Catholic Church. I listed these links after verifying the information presented. Feel free to use this information when Jehovah's Witnesses, Oneness Pentecostals, Gnostics, and Liberals try to tear down your faith: http://www.bible.ca/H-trinity.htm http://www.biblefacts.org/cult/testa.html Detailed explanation of the trinity here. Also see Creation, Messiah, Holy Spirit, and video. False interpretations of the trinity: 1) There are three Gods. 2) There are two Gods (Father and Jesus) whose power is called the Holy Spirit. 3) Only God The Father is God. Jesus is God's Son but is not God. The Holy Spirit is not God. 4) The Father is God's head and mind. Jesus is God's body. The Holy Spirit is God's Spirit. 5) God is one person who operates in three modes, three manifestations, or three offices. 6) God The Father adopted Jesus as His Son when Jesus was born and The Holy Spirit is only God The Father's power. 7) Jesus was the first being that God The Father created. The Holy Spirit is just God The Father's power. ________________________ Note: Think of it this way if possible. God The Father has a mind and spirit body. God The Son, Jesus, has a mind/soul, glorified body, and spirit body. God The Holy Spirit has a mind and spirit body if he chooses. They are one in unity and one in agreement. When Jesus walked the Earth, God The Father, God The Word, and God The Holy Spirit didn't inhabit Him per se. Specifically, Jesus was and is God The Word. God The Word was incarnated into a physical body and He was since called Jesus. In Him dwelled the fullness of the Godhead bodily. This means that Jesus was fully God and fully man.
