Swedenborgianism

Status: Pseudo-Christian Cult

Founded in 1798 by people who embraced Emanuel Swedenborg's theology, experiences, and practices. Much of Swedenborg's life was dedicated to science then he began to study theology. He frequently experiemnted with Spiritism, astral projection, and claimed to communicate with angels and deceased Saints.

Swedenborgians encourage meditation, do not believe the traditional doctrine of the Trinity, believe Christ was not born to die for the sins of humanity, Christians can eventually become angels, all religions lead to God, Swedenborg churches are closest to the will of God than others, unsaved people will become demons, marriage will continue in Heaven, and automatic handwriting in where a spirit uses a person's hands to write.
