| The Gospel "Good News" In the beginning, God created everything. Everything was perfect. There was no sin anywhere. Meanwhile in Heaven, God's top angel named Lucifer(Satan) tried to overthrow God. Satan convinced one-third of God's angels to follow him in the rebellion. Needless to say, Satan lost the revolution and was booted from Heaven and lost his standing with God. God created everything in perfection. Adam and Eve were created to never die. But, when they disobeyed God, sin entered the Earth. (See the Sin page.) Sin caused everything to deteriorate. Though there is only one path to relationship with God, He gave men the ability to choose their own individual path. With this non-robotic built in ability (See Free Will.), men constantly get themselves into trouble. So then, man needs a spiritual covering. God first used the blood of animals to cover Adam and Eve after their choice to sin. God hates sin. The Bible says that sin stinks in God's nostrils. He will not look on sin, nor will He dwell in the presence of it. God allowed blood sacrifice of animals to cover people's sins. This practice would only cover sin for a year's time. This practice lasted for around 4000 years but then came the time for the ultimate sacrifice. This final sacrifice would totally cover and obliterate sin from the lives of men who love and serve God. It was prophesied many times, hundreds of years before the ultimate God-man would come to Earth. (See Messiah.) God's angels even declared his birth. When He began his ministry, He performed countless miracles including raising the dead and forced demons from people with the might of His powerful words. He revealed right and wrong to people in a whole new light. Then, He completed the ultimate reason for His coming from Heaven to Earth. This God-incarnate man became the ultimate sacrifice for sin and allowed man to once again have sinless relationship with God. Jesus Christ of Nazareth gave His life freely to allow the opportunity for any man to receive Him as their Rescuer. This is the one and only way to God... Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh to the Father, but by me. John 14:5 Jesus died and then rose from the dead. Now, Jesus sits with God in Heaven. He talks to God the Father for us when we pray. With what Jesus has done, God has made a way for all men to receive Eternal life. God doesn't desire that any men die and go to Hell... God is not slack concerning His promise as others count slackness, not willing that any should perish but that all come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved. John 3:17 God has made a way for each and every one of mankind to be saved.
