Agahnim - One of Link's old foes, who appears as one of the final bosses in A Link to the Past. All Night Mask - A special mask found in Majora's Mask enabling Link to stay awake for a long period of time to listen to Anju's Grandmother's story. Anju - Anju is the Clocktown's Stock Pot Inn's receptionist and worker. She is to be wedded to Kafei. Armos - A well-known evil knight monster of Ganon's army. B -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bazaar - A shop where Link is able to obtain certain items and weapons including bombs, swords and shields. Beamos - Tall statue-like enemies that have a large eye on top. They shoot laser beams at Link Biggoron - The Biggoron resides on the top of Fire Mountain and is very large. Biggoron's Sword - This is a specially made sword by the Biggoron which is VERY powerful and strong. Big Poe - A large ghost monster that can appear and disappear at will. Bipin & Blossom - Bipin is a farmer who grows Gasha seeds in Holodrum and his wife is Blossom. Blast Mask - A mask found in Majora's Mask which Link wears and then counts down to its own explosion. Blue Fire - A special type of fire, found only in the Ice Cavern behind Zora's Domain. This special fire is the only fire hot enough to melt the red ice in the Cavern and Zora's Domain. Blue Potion - Restores magic and stamina. Bolero of Fire - The Legendary Tune, taught by Sheik to Link. This melody transports the player to the Fire Temple in Death Mountain's crater. Bomb - An item with explodes and enables Link to destroy enemies and access new areas. Bomb Bag - This is a bag which holds bombs. Bombchu - A high-tech version of the Bomb which runs towards it's enemies. It has a built in homing evice. Bombers (Club) - This is a club of children who enjoy hanging out and causing mischief in Clocktown. Bongo Bongo - Boss of the Shadow Temple. Book of Mudora - An ancient book of Hyrule, known for many legends and stories throughout Hyrule. Boomerang - A weapon of Link's which can be used to flip switches or destroy enemies. It returns to Link fter he throws it. Boss - In each level, there is a monster at the end which Link must defeat to move on. These are bosses. Boss Key - For each boss, there is a key that is needed to access the bosses room. Bremen Mask - The Bremen Mask makes chickens fall Link around. Bubble Skull - These are skulls that often fly about and attack Link, and are usually within a blue flame-like bubble. Bunny Hood - Are a set of bunny ears Link can put on, enabling him to run much faster. C -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Camera - A device used by Link to take images (pictures). Candle - Link uses this to help him in dark areas. Captain Keeta - An old Skullchild who was awakened by Link in the Ikana Kingdom. He is very large and considered to be the largest of his kind ever. Captain's Hat - Keeta gives you his captain's hat for Link to where and control and order the Skullchildren. Carnival of Time - An annual Carnival in Clocktown in the land of Termina. Cemetary - Found in numerous Zelda games, this is where a number of dungeons and side-quests are located, and more often than not, where certain, evil monsters can be found. Circus Leader's Mask - A mask that would make those who looked upon it sad. Clocktower - The central part of Clocktown, where a large clock is located on the tower. Clocktown - The main town of Termina, large and bustling. Cremia - The elder sister from Romani Ranch. Cucco - Small chicken. D -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dampe - The caretaker of the Cemetary in Kakariko Village. Dark Link - The evil, shadow version of Link, who shows up in several Zelda games. Dark Nut - Evil minions of Ganon, mostly found in the Dark World. Dark World - When Ganon gained the Triforce, he turned the Sacred Realm he was in into a dark, evil and parallel version of the Light World and Hyrule. Darmani - He was a strong, friendly Goron from the Goron clan in Termina. Darmani II - Another Goron hero in Termina. Darmani III - Was killed on Snowhead. His spirit was entrapped into a mask which Link obtained. Death Mountain - The ancient mountain overlooking Hyrule, also contains the Fire Temple. Deku Baba - A flexible, plant-like monster which can move about it's position and snap and attack. Deku Flower - A flower used by the Deku to fly and blast off from. Deku King - Lives in Southern Swamp, Termina and rules the Deku kingdom. Deku Nut - A special weapon from the Deku Tree which can be used to stun and defeat enemies. Deku Shield - The shield of the Deku, made of wood. Dexihand - A special monster which could grab link and through him about, causing damage. Dimitri - The Dodongo from the Oracle games. He is an expert swimmer and helps Link travel across water. Din - The Goddess of Power was one of the Goddesses who created Hyrule and the world. Din the Oracle - The Oracle of Seasons from Holodrum controlled the seasons, but was captured by General Onox. This caused the Seasons to fly out of control. Dinofols - Lizalfos armoured up and armed with fire. These were more formidable than Lizalfos. Dodongo - Generally an enemy of Link, although on rare occassion, friend, these monsters are best suited to firey locales, although some also like water. Don Gero's Mask - This mask was given to Link to allow him to communicate with frogs. Dream Shrine - A shrine from Link's Awakening. E -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eagles Tower - A temple from Link's Awakening. Eastern Canyon - The canyon that is overlooked by the Ikana Kingdom in Termina. Elegy of Emptiness - A statue-creation song from Majora's Mask, allowing Link to create a replica-like version of himself. Epona - Link's trustry steed. Epona's Song - The song Link uses to call Epona to him. Essences of Nature - In Oracle of Season, Link must gather these to defeat the evil on the land. Essences of Time - In Oracle of Ages, Link must gather these to defeat the evil on the land. Eye Drops - These eye drops are used by the Big Goron on Death Mountain to help his eye infection. F -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Face Key - The Key which opened up the Face Shrine in Link's Awakening. Face Shrine - A Shrine in Link's Awakening on Koholint Island. Fairy - A small creature, glowing, that helps Kokiri children in any way possible. Other fairies include the Great Fairies and smaller fairies which heal Link. Fairy Bow - A bow in Termina used by Link. Fairy Fountain - Where fairies dwell. Fire - Fire is common in Hyrule and found in many places, including in torches on walls and inside mountains. Farore - The Goddess of Courage. Swords, Four - The newest game that is coming out on Game Boy Advance. The story of Link when he is split into the four heroes, previous weilder's of the Four Sword. G -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Gannon/Ganon/Ganondorf - Leader of the Gerudo and the King of Thieves. Gauntlets - These heavy, protective hand garments protect Link's lower arms and hands. There are three kinds, the basic, general ones and the Silver and Gold Gauntlets. Ghoat - A boss from the Snowhead Temple in Majora's Mask, of a large, Goat-like shape. Goblin - A common monster throughout the world. Goron - A race of large, powerful and stone and rock loving monsters that live on Death Mountain. Generally harmless and friendly. Gossip Stone - When hit, these stones will tell the time. They also are able to do a number of other interesting things when hit, blown up or attacked in other ways. Great Deku Tree - Looks after the Kokiri and is very large. A monster infected it and Link destroyed the evil. Great Fairies Mask - A mask obtained in Majora's Mask which enables Link to detect nearby fairies. Great Fairies' Sword - A large sword obtained by Link in Majora's mask which is very powerful. Great War - An old, famous war that raged across the land. This war lasted for 50 years. Green Potion - A potion famous in Hyrule for restoring magic. Green Tunic - The basic tunic of the Kokiri,and Link's main article of clothing. Gyorg - Boss from Termina, very powerful, and a menace to the Zora people. H -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Happy Mask Shop - A shop found in Hyrule Market. This store sells special, magical and just plain fun masks. Happy Mask Salesman - The owner of the Happy Mask Shop. He also helps Link in Majora's Mask as Link tries to defeat the evil in Termina. Harp of Ages - The Harp used to change time in Oracle of Ages. Helmet Head - This monster takes off it's head and fight Link in a deadly duo attack. Hero of Time - The general title for Link. Hookshot - A special weapon and item which enables Link to freeze enemies and gain new areas and levels. Hylian - The general population of Hyrule. Hylian Shield - Link's main shield, found in most games, and named so in Ocarina of Time. Hyrule - The land where the Zelda games mostly take place. Hyrule Castle - The Castle where the King and Princess of Hyrule reside. Hyrule Castle - North Castle - North Castle is referred to in a few Zelda games. This is simply the castle, but is instead called North Castle, as it is found in North Hyrule and North of the town. Hyrulian - Also the general population of Hyrule, although less common than Hylian. I -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ice - Ice is common in some areas of Hyrule and Termina, including in the mountains and Zora's Domain a after Morpha freezes the water. Ice Cavern - Location behind Zora's Domain where Link defeats a White Wolfo's to gain the Iron Boots. Ikana Canyon - Found in Termina, this is the canyon that separates the path from Termina to the Ikana Kingdom and castle. Ikana Castle - The Castle of the Royal Ikana family. Ikana Graveyard - The graveyard of the Royal family and of Ikana. Ikana Kingdom - The Kingdom of Ikana, found above Ikana Canyon. Ikana Village - The Village of Ikana, now deserted except for a young girl and her father. Impa - The Royal Nurse of Hyrule. Indigo-go's - A famous Zora band in Termina. Iron Knuckle - A large, heavily-armoured monster. J -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jabu Jabu - The large fish behind Zora's Domain. Link must venture into Jabu Jabu's belly to save Ruto. Japas - A member of the Indigo-go's. Jiro - A carpenter. K -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Kaepora Gaebora - The owl who guided Link throughout Hyrule and helped in a number of different ways. It is believed Kaepora is Rauru the Sage. Kafei - Kafei is a young man living in Termina who has undergone an unfortunate spell. Kafei Mask - A mask in Termina which allows Link to look like Kafei. Kakariko - The villagers of the Kakariko Village. Kakariko Village - The village on the mountainside where the Kakariko live and where many legends of Sheikah have arisen. Kakariko Well - A well where the Lens of Truth is located. Kanelet Castle - A castle on Koholint Island in Link's Awakening. Keaton - A fox with three tails, yellow. Keaton Mask - The Keaton Mask allows Link to take the on characteristics and look of a Keaton. Keese - Small, annoying bat-like monsters. There are two other types including fire and ice. Kokiri - he children of the forest and the Deku Tree. Kokiri Emerald - One of the three stones Link must collect. This one is green and bright, given by the GDT. Kokiri Forest - The forest where the Deku Tree and the Kokiri children reside. Kokiri Tunic - A green tunic. Kotake - One of the two witch sisters. She shows up in both OoT and MM, in OoT as a boss and in MM as a simple, harmless witch. Kuome - One of the two witch sisters. She shows up in both OoT and MM, in OoT as a boss and in MM as a simple, harmless witch. L -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Labrynna - The world where Oracle of Ages takes place. Lantern - A small item which illuminates dark areas. Leever - A small monster, often living in desert areas and can delve below ground then attack Link. Light Arrows - The most powerful arrow against darkness. Showers evil in happy light. Light Medallion - The medallion Rauru the Sage presents Link with to help him along his journey. Light World - The true Hyrule, the world of Light. The opposite to the Dark World. Like Like - A strange, gel-like moving monster that can swallow Link and take items. Link - The Hero of the Zelda games. He shows up in all the games and defeats evil many times. He wields the Master Sword, the legendary blade and generally wears a green tunic. He normally has blond hair and is commonly referred to as The Hero of Time. Lon Lon Ranch - A Hylian Ranch which has great milk and the home to Ingo, Talon and Malon. Lizalfos - Lizard-like monsters. Longshot - An upgraded version of the hookshot. Lost Woods - The woods of Kokiri Forest which can fuddle the mind and cause a person to become lost. Lynna City - The capital or largest city of Labrynna. M -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mabe Village - The first village Link visits in Link's Awakening. Magic - Allows Link to perform certain moves and use certain items. Magic Beans - Beans that, when planted, grow to provide small leaf pads which transport Link. Magic Jars - These can be collected to raise Link's magic meter. Magic Rod - Contains great magic and can fire magic at enemies. Magic Shop - A shop owned by an old woman where Link can buy a number of magical potions and spells. Magnifying Glass - An item allowing Link to view small objects. Majora's Mask - An evil mask that was created long ago. An evil spirit was trapped within which then took control of the mask. Whoever wears it is possessed by Majora. Maku Tree - A large tree, similar to the Deku Tree. Malon - The daughter of Talon who lives on Lon Lon Ranch and tends to the animals. Marin - The daughter of Tarin on Koholint Island. Martha's Bay - A large bay on Koholint Island. Mask of Truth - Allows Link to read the people's minds and the Gossip Stones. Master Sword - The legendary sword, the blade enabling time travel. This sword contains great power and magic and cannot be bested by any other weapon. Mido - The leader of the Kokiri, he detests Link. Mikau - The guitarist for the Indigo-go's. Moblin - A legendary monster of Hyrule. Moosh - The large bear who helps Link by flying him around. Mount Tamaranch - Home of the Wind Fish's Egg on Koholint Island. Mysterious Forest - Forst on Koholint Island. N -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Nabooru - Leader of the Gerudo tribe of women. Nayru - The goddess of Wisdom. Nayru - Oracle of Ages Navi - The fairy who helps Link in Ocarina of Time. Nocturne of Shadow - The melody that transports Link to the Shadow Temple. North Castle - The main castle of Hyrule, found in North Hyrule. O -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ocarina of Time - The ocarina enabling Link to travel through time and activate certain songs. Octorok - A legendary monster. They can travel over land and spit rocks. Odolwa - Boss of the Woodfall Temple in Majora's Mask. Owl - A creature which shows up in a number of Zelda games and helps Link during his adventures. Owl Statue - In Majora's Mask, these provide the player with a place to save. P -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Parpa Desert - An old desert in Hyrule. Pedestal of Time - The pedestal where the Master Sword is located. Pegasus Boots - Boots which enable Link to hover in air for short periods of time. Phantom Ganon - Boss of the Forest Temple, a mere illusion of the evil minion himself. Piece of Power - After defeating some enemies, these would appear, giving Link extra strength. Poe - A ghost-like creature that can be colleceted. Powder Keg - A keg of explosive that is much more powerful than a regular bomb. Power Bracelet - Allows Link to carry and pickup heavy objects and pull certain items. Rauru - The Sage of Light. Razor Sword - A keen, sharper version of the Hero's Sword in Majora's Mask. Has a splendid, double edged edge. The sharpness would be lost after 100 uses. Red Potion - A potion used to regain hearts. Re-Dead - Magical forces reshaped to look like zombies. Requiem of Spirit - The melody used to transport Link to the Spirit Temple. Ricky - The kangaroo who helps Link travel and fight. Roc's Feather - The feather allowing Link to jump. Roc's Cape - An update version of jumping from the feather. Rod of Seasons - This rob allows Link to change the seasons of Holodrum. Romani - Romani is a young girl in Termina who lives with her sister, Cremia. Romani Ranch - The ranch where Termina's best milk is found. Romani Milk - The world's favourite and best milk. Rupee - The general currency throughout the world. Ruto - Princess of the Zora. S -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sacred Forest Meadow - Located outside of the Forest temple. There, Saria likest o site quietly. Sacred Realm - The sacred area where the Triforce is located. Saria - Link's best childhood friend. She is also the Forest Sage. Sakon - A thief in Termina. Sakon's Hideout - Found in Ikana Canyon. Sages - Are the legendary creators of Hyrule. They help Link during his journies. Seashell - A small item that Link collects to gain new items. Serenade of Water - The melody which transports Link to the Water Temple. Sheik - Supposedly the last Sheikah. He helps Link during his adventures. But he looks very familiar ..... Sheikah - A legendary, long-gone race of people. Impa is the last remaining Sheikah. Silver Arrows - Powerful arrows. Silver Gauntlets - Powerful gauntlets allowing Link to lift heavy objects. Silver Scale - Allows Link to dive deeper. Skull Children - Small skeletal monsters that attack Link at night. Skulltula - Large, spider-like monsters. Snowhead - The large mountain which holds the temple, Snowhead Temple. Songs - All the songs that are played through The Legend of Zelda games. Southern Swamp - Found in Termina, contains the Woodfall Temple. Stalfos - Large, skeleton monsters. Very strong and skilled with shield and sword. Stone Mask - Helps Link hide from enemies and blend into background. Subrosia - Land and home of the Subrosians. Subrosians - Small, hooded creatures. Only their eyes are visible. T -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tatl - The fairy who helps you during Majora's Mask. Tail Cave - A dungeon on Koholint Island in Link's Awakening. Tarin - Lives with his daughter, Marin, on Koholint Island. Tektite - Spider-like creatures which jump on Link. Can move on land and water. Temple of Time - Gateway to the Sacred Realm, the Temple of Light, the Triforce and home to the Master Sword. Termina - Main world of Majora's Mask. Tingle - A mapmaker who flies on a small balloon everywhere Link goes. Tokay - Lizard like species. Triforce - The great, legendary pieces of Courage, Wisdom and Power. It is said whoever possess it will have his or her wish granted. Should their heart be pure of darkness, the wish will be good, should the heart be tainted, evil will show itself. Tunic - General piece of clothing that Link wears. Twinmold - Large serpent monsters, bosses of the Stone Tower Temple in Termina. Twinrova - The boss of the Spirit Temple, a large, powerful witch. U -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ukuku Prairie - A large, flat prairie in Link's Awakening on Koholint Island. V -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Vase - Vases, or better known as jars or pots, are located throughout the Zelda world for Link to use in many ways including to find items and rupees and to hold down switches. Veran - Evil woman who has thrown the ages of Labrynna into dissarray. Vire - A firespitting monster, like a dragon. Volvagia - Boss of the Fire Temple, a large, fire commanding dragon. W -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Water - Found in many dungeons and overworld areas in the Zelda games. Water Temple - The Water Temple is a large, confusing and puzzle filled temple in Ocarina of Time. Boss is Morpha and the mini boss is Dark Link. White Sword - A powerful sword from Legend of Zelda. Wizrobe - A magical monster. Wolfos - A large wolf creature. Another type of wolfo is the White Wolfo, found in snow regions. Woodfall - The area surrounding the Woodfall Temple. Woodfall Temple - The first temple in Majora's Mask, boss is Odolwa. Zelda is also one of the Sages. Zelda's Lullaby - A Royal Family song, known only by Royal Family members and close friends. Zol - Gelatin monster Link fights in many games. Zoras - Found in most games, some are good others are evil. Zora's Domain - Home of the Zoras. Zora's Mask - Allows Link to take the form of a Zora. Zora's Sapphire - The stone Ruto gives Link after he saves her from the belly of Jabu Jabu and the Anenome. Zora's Tunic - A blue tunic enabling Link to breathe underwater. Zora's River - The river leading up to Zora's Domain. Zora's Waterfall - Prevents ousiders from entering the Zora's Domain. Only those who have the Royal Family's Lullaby may enter.
