Amateur Night at the Cantina
This page is for the Star Wars fan that's looking for something new, something just a little different. Hope you enjoy the tunes as much as I do.
And if you have anything to add,
let me know!
Star Wars Breakbeats - Supergenius
If you attended either Star Wars Celebration, you undoubtedly saw SuperGenius making the rounds. This is his love child. Funky breakbeats overlayed with music, dialog and sound effects from the trilogy (and in one case, the Holiday Special!). You probably won't find this at your local music store, but if you hit his website (link on next page) you should be able to find it.
Includes: I Got a Bad Feeling About This, A Bobadelic Relic, One Smooth Character, Jedi Mindtrick  plus 21 more tracks.
Cocktails at the Cantina - The Evil Genius Orchestra
A great piece of work! Imagine a lounge lizard's backup band performing some of the most memorable pieces from the original trilogy. A *must* add for your Star Wars collection. The sounds are cheesy (in a good way), but the work is pure genius! Why are you still here? GO GET IT!!
Includes: Main Title, Imperial March, Cantina Band, Binary Sunset, Lando's Palace plus 8 more tracks.
Christmas in the Stars - Various Artists
Ah yes, the Star Wars Christmas Album. For the longest time I only had the 45 single of What Can You Get a Wookiee for Christmas (When He Already Owns a Comb)?. And every X-Mas, it would be played with the holiday music...much to my parents/friends chagrin *hehehe* It's worth adding to your collection, after all how many CDs with Anthony Daniels and (a very young) Jon Bon Jovi do you own? Goes great with the Holiday Special!
Includes: R2-D2 We Wish You a Merry Christmas, The Odds Against Christmas plus 7 more tracks.
Dance Your Asteroids Off - Meco
By far, Meco's best gift to the SW Community. If you never heard his disco rendition of the Main Title/Cantina Band, then you're either very young or have been hiding out for the past couple millenia waiting to crush the Jedi. Even if you're not into disco, this should grab you. This CD features inspired music from all 4 movies.
Includes: Imperial March, Lapti Nek, Duel of the Fates, a potentially annoying Jar Jar song plus 6 more tracks.

Star Wars 1999 Dance Mix - Dezrok
Techno-dance music for the Star Wars fan. I generally like techno-dance type of music and I love Star Wars, but this CD has been sitting in my rack since I first listened to it. I think the main problem with it is that it's only got 2 songs on it: Star Wars (with 4 mixes) and Imperial Attack (with 2 mixes). Good to grab if you're a club DJ or want to put one of the mixes on your music listening media of choice. Not so good to listen to start to finish, unless you want that THUMP-THUMP-THUMP club vibe in tha house. On the plus side, it's under $10.
Duel of the Fates - Planet Core
A great dance remix of Duel of the Fates. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be available on-line anymore. I checked both Amazon and CDNow.com with no luck. It's worth the effort of finding.
Sketches on Star Wars - The Trotter Trio
Nowhere near the tongue-in-cheekness of Cocktails, The Trotter Trio delivers cool and jaunty versions of Williams' classic themes. These are jazz interpretations of your favorites. If you don't dig jazz, then this CD may take some getting used to. You'll either like it or hate it. Throwing on a random track and having fellow fans figure out what song it is within 30 seconds can be fun.
Includes: Main Title, Jabba the Blues, Ewok Celebration (no really it's cool), Cantina Band (you'd expect this to be a bit more jazzy considering it's a jazz band) plus 6 more tracks
