OCTOBER Monday 5th - Didital Workshop No 1 Members Submission Night for the Gundill Trophy Competition (6 prints or slides of the authors own theme) Monday 12th - Internal print and slide competition No 1, Graffiti. Monday 19th - "Man Made - an Urban Odyssey" A YPU slide presentation by Erica Oram CPAGB featuring urban landscapes from around the world. Members Submision Night for print competition against Batley & District Camera Club. Monday 26th - Judging of the W.E Gundill (Hon) FRPS Challenge Trophy, Judged by Mr Gordon Quinn : DPAGB. 6 Prints or Slides on the authors own theme. NOVEMBER Monday 2nd - A Passion for Photography - A YPU digital presentation by Alisa Yates ARPS, being an investigation into the possibilities afforded by today's contemporary processes of Pixel - Art digital Technologies, modern thinking and tradititional photographic skills. Submissions for the 2010 Annual Exhibition. Monday 9th - Print competition with Batley & District Camera Club, Venue Dewsbury Townhall, Judged by Mr Graham Gage . Monday 16th - "My Way" A YPU print presentation by Keaton Roebuck. Monday 23rd - Portait Night - Tonights model will be "Amy" Monday 30th - Look at it our Way, A joint YPU show by husband and wife team Tony and Marjorie Furmston FRPS. DECEMBER Monday 7th - Internal print and slide competition No 2 "Dereliction" Monday 14th - YPU print and projected image folios. Monday 21st - No Metting Tonight Monday 28th - No Meeting Tonight JANUARY 2010 A Happy and Prosperous New Year. Saturday 2nd - Annual exhibition of prints opens in the Dewsbury Central Library (Section 1 on display from January 3rd until 31st January) Monday 4th - Golden Oldies Night, Members bring their treasured old photo's and slides for an airing. Monday 11th - Digital Workshop No 2. Monday 18th - Internal print and slide competition No 3 "Wood or Stone Carving" Submision Night for the Trevor Foggin Memorial Trophy Competition "for Outside Portraiture". Friday 22nd - Annual Dinner and Annual Exhibition Award Ceremony, Venue Whitley Comunity Centre. Monday 25th - Judges Comments on our Annual Exhibition Prints, by Mr John Atkinson, Venue Dewsbury Central Library. FEBRUARY Monday 1st - Judges comments on our annual slide competition, by Mr David Couldwell, Venue Dewsbury Townhall. Submission Night for Ossett Competition. Monday 1st of February Until the 28th of February Section 2 of our annual Print Exhibition in Dewsbury Central Library. Monday 8th - Photographic Alliance of Great Britain 2009 Folio, The best work from Britain's Amateur Photographers. Monday 15th - Judging of the Trevor Foggin Memorial Trophy for Outside Portraiture, judged by Mr Stuart Clark ARPS ABIPP.. Monday 22nd - Print Competition against Ossett and District Color Photo Club, Judged by Mr Gerry Padgett - LRPS - DPAGB - APAGB. Submission Night for Taylor Trophy Competition, 4 Prints or Slides from 5 Subjects (Potrait : Record : Pictorial : Sport : Natural History) MARCH Monday 1st - Practical Portrait Night No 2 Submission night for Print and Slide Competition against Normanton. Monday 8th - Presidents Night, John's guest tonight will be Marilyn Shenton ARPS with her presentation "The Butcher and the Baker" Monday 15th - Judging of the Taylor Trophy Competition by Mr Ray K Brammall - ARPS - DPAGB. Monday 22nd - "Flowers in Focus" Nigel Harrison, BBC Radio York's Gardening Guru, will help you make the most of your garden with expert advice on taking your stunning flower photographs. Tuesday 23rd - Inter-club competition against Normanton Camera Club, Venue Woodhouse Hill WMC, Wakefield Road, Normanton. Monday 29th - Internal print and slide competition No 4 "The End" APRIL Monday 5th - Easter Monday, No Meeting Tonight. Monday 12th - Annual Auction Night, All proceeds go towards keeping next years subscriptions down. Monday 19th - "Half and Half" A YPU presentation by John Jolliffe, half prints and half audio - visual. Monday 26th - Annual General Meeting. Submission Night for the Photo-journalism Competition. MAY Monday 3rd - May Day no meeting tonight. Saturday 8th - YPU Annual Assembly and Exhibition, Hosted by York Photographic Society. Monday 10th - "Digital A.V. Miscellany" by Peter Thompson DPAGB, APAGB. Monday 17th - Digital Workshop No 3. Monday 24th - Judging of the Photo-journalism Competition by Erica Oram - CPAGB.
