Dewsbury Karate Club

If you are thinking about starting a martial art, for fitness, self defence, discipline or friendship this is the place for you. Whatever your reason, DKC instructors will always endeavour to give you the best possible learning experience and strive to help you achieve your personal goals.

Your first lesson will consist of a light warm-up and then a few basic drills to help you begin to learn the fundamentals of movement and co-ordination. You will usually get to have a go at a bit of everything, and can work at your own pace with constant support from instructors.

You can get involved in many things as part of Dewsbury Karate Club. The club actively competes at tournaments locally, nationally and internationally. We offer expert coaching for those who are interested in competing.

For those more interested in the study of the art, we offer a fully comprehensive syllabus. You progress along the course achieving various coloured belts, eventually culminating in the coveted black belt. These belts represent short term educational goals and help students to remain focused and dedicated.

We have many families training with us. Age and ability are really NO barrier if you think you might be interested in joining.
