I am Danielle Williamson, live in Calgary Alberta and am owned by two German Pinschers. For almost 10 years, I have been a dog obedience instructor and have owned many mixed breeds until I decided to try a pure bred.

D The more research I did on the German Pinscher, the more I knew this was the breed for me. I bought my male, "CH Rockruns Scooby-Doo CD CGN" 5years ago from Alabama as there was no CKC reputable German Pinscher breeders in western Canada. |

D I had many years of experience working with various breeds and behaviors. I had done plenty of research on this breed but it did not prepare me for the quirks of this breed. |

D Although I have accomplished so much with Scooby being my first GP, they are CERTAINLY not the breed for everyone. |
Scooby and I have the honour of being the first since recognition, to achieve a Championship, Companion Dog (obedience), and Canadian Good Neighbor titles. He is also the first natural ear German Pinscher to obtain a Conformation Championship since recognition and the first natural ear to place in the group during competition.
All sanctioned by the Canadian Kennel club.
During our journey for these titles, I learned so much more than any research could have offered. I struggled through many stages of learning, and now appreciate this breed even more than I thought possible. Until you train a German Pinscher, or live with one for a period of time, you cannot fully understand their true temperament--They are definately NOT a miniature Doberman!
Scooby is an intact male and kept that way for breeding purposes. Now over 5 years old, he sired his first litter this summer and is a proud ‘dad’ of 8 puppies.

I am proud to be one of the founding members of the German Pinscher Club of Canada and will help to preserve and protect this breed for the future of the breed, and not for personal gain.

| D Scooby is my pal and all the titles in the world will never be more important than me curling up next to him on the couch for movie night. With all the struggles and smiles I gained from Scooby in and out of the ring, it reassured me that this was the breed for me. |

| D I researched where I wanted my next German Pinscher from and with a list of questions prepared to ask breeders, I also hoped to meet the parents of a puppy that might come into my life. I knew as there are no reputable breeders in Western Canada, I would have to venture far to find what I wanted in a puppy. | ||

A trip to Halifax Nova Scotia the summer of 2004 allowed me to meet the number one German Pinscher in Canada, ‘Reise’ from PEI as well as ‘Elly’ from Australia, owned by Heather Green from Angelsun Reg’d German Pinschers in Prince Edward Island. |

By the end of the short visit I knew I wanted one of their pups.
I waited nearly 2 years for my little girl, but it was a well worth it – the saying ‘good things come to those who wait’ is so true. I have had Angelsun’s Mystical Illusion "Mysti", since June of 2005 and love every minute that I have with not just one, but TWO German Pinschers. My experiences with Scooby have made for a much smoother ride with my girl and I am as I was with Scooby, two steps ahead of her too!
13 days old and eyes just opening 4 weeks old and sitting pretty
Mysti received 3 points towards her championship title on her first weekend at the dog shows as a Junior Puppy. Although I finished Scooby's Championship title, I only pointed 8 of the ten points required. I plan on being together with Mysti for the whole trip!
It is so exciting to think about where this little girl will take me and what adventures we will have in and out of the ring. Who knows... we might end up in the agility ring and not just limit ourselves to obedience.
I can not remember how it was with just one German Pinscher and watching the two of them play is so delightful. I know that from these two darlings that I will always be owned by a German Pinscher and will always be here to protect and nurture this breed.
