Welcome to my 4Runner page! I became a fan on the Toyota 4Runner back when they first were introduced in 1984. I owned a 1986 IFS SR-5 4Runner for 11 years and totally LOVED it. I put it through its share of off-road abuse and it always came back hungry for more. I worked on it quite a bit and in the end it had a 2" IFS lift, 31" BFGs, Downey header, K&N filter, Yakima rack, CB and much more. See my 1st Generation pictures.
It was a tough day when I finally sold it back in 1997. I was left with many many memories from the truck that took me from my teens into my mid-twenties. After driving a Jeep (Heap) Grand Cherokee for a few years, I longed for another REAL SUV. In April of 1999, I picked up my new 1999 SR-5 4Runner. The 3rd Generation body style had really grown on me. I do miss the tailgate and removable tops of years gone by, but love my new one just the same, even if it is "woman-friendly" with the hatch back. :)  Mine was equipped exactly as I wanted it: 1999 SR-5 5-Speed 4WD in Millenium Silver and gray cloth interior, GU package (with factory locking diff), PN (Alarm with immobilizer), RH (rear heater), SR (moon roof), C7 (roof rack, tow package, wind deflector), fender flares. I did a factory order to make sure it came just the way I wanted it. It took a little longer, but was well worth getting what I wanted in the beginning. After reading about the TRD Supercharger in MotorTrend, I knew I HAD to have that. For the exceptional warranty, I had the dealer install the Supercharger along with the TRD cat-back exhaust and TRD Bilstien shocks, before I took delivery. I have loved it since day one! It got muddy on day two! :)
I would like to say thanks to everyone on the 4Runner Forum for all of their help and insight, especially Ron S. ,  Gadget and the others I asked questions personally to.
Check out all of the nice 4Runner pages in my Links page. If you have a page you want added, please let me know.
This page will remain a work in progress as I continue to add new goodies and take more pictures. Enjoy!
