Characters

For me, it truly all begins with a character. I absolutely adore the
process put behind making new characters; it may very well be my
opium. I can spend hours (sometimes even days) pouring over research
for a name, an ethnicity, a country of origin. Even a hobby! To me,
these characters are almost as real as flesh-and-blood acquaintances.
I'm ever compelled to know them fully, down to their favorite books and
culinary preferences. I truly love my characters in ways I can't explain
and I feel connected to them just as well. Their heartbreaks are my pains
their joys are my laughter, their failures are my tears, and their worries
are my anxiety. Because of this devotion, I've aspired to examining each
character's life story as fully as possible. I've found this is best achieved
through creating a MySpace page for each character. And so, without further
ado, please enjoy the tales that lie ahead--some may even include links to
picture albums and journals--and may you be as touched by them as I am.
