Leave the past behind, may not be as easy as you thought...
Year 1996...
"Got the information?"
"Yes."
"Goodbye"
"Goodbye and thank you." Jane Carter put down the phone. Her bright blue eyes looked troubled.
"Nick!!!" she called to her son, the famous world-know singer. Her son smiled at his mother's warm, sweet and loving voice, and smiled.
Jane thrust a manila folder into his son's arms before he had a chance to hug her.
"Go to your room. Pack every you need. But don't pack too much. We are leaving in five minutes. Be quick." She rambled to her son. Nick's face of smiles had turned into an expression of mixed emotions: confusions and worries.
"Mom..." he started. Trying to get an proper answer from his mother. He just come back from his tour. Other times, when he came back from tour, her mom always welcomed him warmly. Always had some food waiting for him. But right now, he'd got a pile of complete nonsense to him.
"Don't say anything. Don't lose the folder. Read it on the plane. And be quick!!! Time is limited!!!" With that, Jane rushed off to attend other business, leaving Nick standing there, with his mouth in a shape of an '0'.
"Forget about your Play Station and PC! Bring along your best laptop! The one dad and I gave you before you left for tour! Don't bring your Game Boy! Don't even think about you PlayStation!" Jane ordered her son.
"But mom, you know that the N64 is my life! You already asked me to gaive up my PlayStation..."
"Wrong, Nick, I forced you to." Jane corrected her son.
"What?" Nick was baffled. His mother had always been a kind and patient person. Her critics never existed.
"Forget about the past, Nick, Now do what I say. Be quick, Nick!!! Stop wasting my time!" Nick was shocked. Never in his life he has seen his mom so angry in his life. She had always been a sweet, loving mother. Nick was worried that something bad had happened. Something that'll change his life forever.
